Once in a while a site comes along offering something you think is going to be stupendous and right up your alley, right? As you probably already know, I have been asking for people to come here and write articles to get paid for them. But maybe you decided you have a better chance elsewhere, or you just want to write for “legit” sites, that is sites that offer news, reviews, and guides only. Today, I got an email from Alltern8.com, describing just that. They are looking for people to write articles for them. At first, you don’t get paid. But if you get a following, you will make money with them. Sounds pretty good, right?
Writers for Alltern8.com not only entertain, but also provide information, news, expertise, and advice! A cosplay writer may cover the recent winners of an international cosplay contest, whereas a gaming writer may blog about the latest patch notes for a popular MMORPG. The job of an ongoing Alltern8.com contributing writer is to cover the events and news that the community is excited to learn more about! While opinion pieces and reviews are welcome, Alltern8.com strongly encourages its writers to go the extra mile and do research, interviews, and investigative articles.

Personally, I am not impressed. Until you get popular, it’s no pay. When you do get popular, it’s $150 a month. And assuming you become really really popular, thats when they pay per word. Maybe it goes up to $250 a month? If you are that popular a writer, then the pittance they offer is nothing. Even our plan is better then that.
If however you like the idea of what they are offering, you can follow this link to get more information.

As many of you may or may not know, Blizzard has finally begun offering race changes in World of Warcraft. I have read lately some rants and raves about this, and really I don’t see the reasoning behind it too much, other then for those people who buy accounts. This is just one more bonus to people who don’t like the way their character looks. If you think about it, someone buys an account, as they wanted a gnome mage. However the ended up buying a Blood-elf mage. Well now, first they change the server, then they change the faction, next the look with barber shop, change the name too, and suddenly, nobody knows they bought the account.
The thing that bothers me however is that Blizzard seems to be adding the free2play model, in to the pay2play model. By this I mean, that there are 2 types of mmo games out there. One is the pay2 play, where we pay a monthly subscription. The second is the free2play, where it’s free to download and play the game, but they add things which you can buy. World of Warcraft is now a mix of both of these, and it’s starting to bother me. First I buy the game and expansions, then I pay $15 a month, and now they are adding services which cost more money as well.
The changing servers fee is one thing, but everything else, is just more money they are lining their pockets with. I don’t like where they are going with the game. How much sooner, will it be, till we are able to pay real money for items in the game as well – thus giving an advantage to the person who pays the most money?

Due to the deal I had with Tault, not completing, tho it has been over 4 weeks now, I decided to rez this site… sort of. You see I have gone with a blog and not a forums. This is obviously a public blog, and I will be posting what I find in various games that I play or have played recently. I will also be putting up news that I hear from others or read from other sites about different MMO’s. I also expect to occasionally put up game hacks, bots, guides, and more.
This is going to be a work in progress over the next several days/week, so please bear with me. I have never had a blog before, so I am learning as I go.
Will I ever rez the old forums? Not likely. The old forums were big, bulky, and it was a bitch to get people to post, even when I offered giveaways.
If you had a subscription at the old rpg-exploiters or any of the other subscription based sites, you can cancel the sub through PayPal. If you don’t, I will accept it as a donation, thank you.
