One of the most annoying things about the game of Evony, is not really understanding the ranks and how they affect the game. There is not even a description in the game of what either does for you – seems stupid, right? While I admit to not completely understanding the ranks, there is one thing I can explain. In order to build another city, you need to be a Knight. So if you have enough medals for either but not both, get Knight instead of Captain. Later however, you will need to get Captain, in order to get Baronet. It seems that they work hand in hand, you want knight, baronet, baron, etc. for more cities. In fact you need to be General, to become Prinzessin as well.

1. Zealots are probably the best tier one ground melée unit in the game. They have very good damage output and their shields have the ability to regenerate which is a huge bonus. A zealot rush at the beginning of the game has a very good chance of causing a large amount of damage to their army and also their base and workers. If you can get them in and sabotage their resource gathering it can cause an easy win for you since they will have to focus on producing more workers. Continue reading »

Old Ironforge

– Notes: This place isn’t very big, and is most likely suited for a boss lair or some sort of mall. Keep in mind, if players fall down, they need a way to get up.
Elwynn Falls
Map: 0 -8322 -340 145
– Notes: This seems to be a closed area of Elwynn Forest, and may be used for general stuffs such as mobs and quests, as in, general leveling.
Northern Plaguelands
Map: 0 3852 -3565 45
– Notes: This is the area surrounded by the Plagueland areas. It’s completely empty, and has one damn annoying fog, so it could be used for some scary outdoor boss raid, I guess.
Graymane Area
Map: 0 -979 1579 52
– Notes: This is the awesome area past the big annoying gate in Silverpine Forest. If you can find a neat way to get here, it would probably be good for some sort of city.
Isolated Dun Morogh
Map: 0 -4897 836 390
– Notes: As Cursed mentioned, this area would be good for a linear instance. It’s very open, and as far as I know, normally inaccessible from the outside. Not instanced, though.
Arathi Highlands Farm
Map: 0 -1817 -4205 3
– Notes: Not much to say. I’d probably use it for some sort of secret hideout, as it’s a nice little isolated place.
Isolated Wetlands Town
Map: 0 -4037 -1408 157
– Notes: This place is awesome! You can have your own little closed town here. Only thing is, you need to close that tunnel leading to nothing.
Isolated Elwynn Forest
Map: 0 -8322 -340 145

Most of you know that powerleveing will yield great results with a mentor that can AOE.
However, even though it seems to be abused quite often, I haven’t seen the recruit a friend XP trick posted around. Basically, make an e-mail at yahoo/gmail and go log into your station account at EQ2Players.com.
Next, go to the front page of EQ2Players.com or find the recruit-a-friend section through the Station.com control panel after you log in.
Send your new e-mail account an invitation. Log out of your EQ2Players.com/Station.com account. Continue reading »

This is a little trick thought up by dazzidrood, which will allow you to cast 2 Swarm spells on someone. It’s more a trick then anything else, because the person being hit by the swarm, will only receive damage from the rank 7 version of it, not the rank 6. However perhaps, if each rank of swarm are cast on the person, then if they dispell one, the other may still work?
We know that the higher rank will affect the person in question, not the lower rank… but questions remain. If the rank 7 is dispelled, will the Rank 6 then do damage? Can we hit them with more ranks, thus making 1 much more difficult to dispell?
Your input is appreciated, to let us know whether or not this is good in PvP situations.

One annoying aspect of playing multiplayer games, is having your enemies rush you, and asking for help, often in vain, from your “team mate”.
If you are on the receiving end of a Zergling rush – or if you just want to be safe, in case you expect one, throw down a fast spawning pool and then make a creep colony -> sunken colony. It should hold off the initial rush no problem.
If it’s a double zergling rush, try to get 2 sunken colonies up asap, or build 1 sunken and a couple lings. Worst comes to worst, you got 1 sunken and you pull your workers off the mineral line to fight.

To unlock the secret mission, on the “Media Blitz” mission, where you get to control the Odin in the city, head down to the far bottom right corner of the map. There’s a civilian building on a little floating platform. Destroy it, and “secret documents” will be revealed. Pick these up with any ground unit, and then complete the mission as normal. After, you will now have the secret mission available for selection from the Star Map.

Epic Quest Volume 3, Book 2 starts at: Elrond in Rivendell (must have completed Vol. 3 Bk 1 to acquire)
Tip: in Beta, you could not activate the dwarf-marker in Thorin’s Hall before discovering Enedwaith, but you could activate the Hobbits Lamp at The Bullroarer’s Statue in Greenfields, Brockenboring, The Shire.
Getting to Enedwaith: From Echad Mirobel, Eregion travel south-east following the river on the Tham Mirdain (the Library) side of the river.

The easiest by far, Phirius Token Coin farming can be done within a few minutes. Since the quest is a dropped item, we can farm not just todays quests, but also tomorrows )or the whole week) at the same time. I like to stock up on about 2 days worth, or 20 dailies. When you’re in a heavy game and you want to send some workers to gas, you probably don’t have the time to find only workers that don’t have any minerals. So you will send some workers who might have mined a mineral and those minerals will go to waste. Use this trick, to keep the minerals AND mine new ones – no more waste.

The Zerg is very unique compared to the other races. The Zerg are unique because of their ability to manage larva. Unlike the other two races, Zerg use the larva to make the units. In addition to this difference, the Zerg also has to sacrifice a drone in order to construct a building, they may only place buildings on creep, and they have only one building to produce units from.
The first and most important task in playing Zerg is managing your Queens. You must have at least 1 queen at each hatchery in order to keep up with your macro.
