Near the top right corner of the Chaos Wastes map, there is a mob named “Templar Armand” standing under a tree. He will instantly respawn, right after you kill him. Perfect for macroing/botting. Note that while there are other mobs nearby they will not aggro, nor pull when you attack Templar Armand.

Warhammer’s BugCraft is a free (for now) game hack, which has some features which will allow you to have fun, and to farm gold more easily in Warhammer Online.  It is a game hack, so precautions should be taken, such as not showing off, nor telling your friends about it.  It will allow you to speed run, fly, Super Jump, and much more. If you goto PQ: Tor Sethai, there is a cave at the back.  In this cave, are wolves.  The wolves have a very fast respawn timer.  Good for loot and exp. If you are a botter, might also be good for botting.

The wolves within the cave, are not flagged for the PQ.

Written by Almar

The first time you step foot into the Open RvR areas of Warhammer you’re almost sure to be confused. Lets clear up as much confusion as possible for you in this guide. First up, a quick run down of everything.

First, see the red line circling the whole area? This is telling you everything on the inside of this line is an open rvr area. Now, the things that look like little flags are the Battlefield Objectives. The thing that looks like a mini castle is a keep. These icons will also change colors depending on what faction is controlling them. As you can see in the picture above, the keep is red which means Destruction is currently controlling it. If it was blue, that means Order is in control of it.

Sometimes these objectives will have timers over them, this is a countdown to tell you how long until that side gains a Domination Point for controlling the objective. Domination Points help you lock the zone for your faction.

Victory Points and Domination Points

Below is a picture of the in-game compass/mini map. I’ve expanded the Victory Point tab to better explain everything.

Each bar tells you how it is contributing towards the Victory Points for the zone. When you mouse over each one it will tell you how much it contributes towards the Victory Points for that zone. For example, mouse over Objectives, it will tell you that it contributes 45% to zone control. Here is a quick list of how everything contributes

Objectives: 45% to zone control
Scenarios: 25% to zone control
Skirmish: 20% to zone control
PvE: 15% to zone control
Prior Tier: 5% to zone control

When you earn enough Victory Points to cross the bar closer to your enemies side, you take control of the zone. What I mean by this is, take a look at the compass. See the bar at the very top? There are two notches, one closer to the skull and one closer to the eagle. The order cymbal is the eagle, and destruction the skull. When ether the blue bar or red bar reaches the furthest notch, they take the zone and lock it. I’ll get into how zones lock, later.

Next up, Domination Points!

Take a look at the compass, see the red rectangles right under the large red bar going across the top? These will tell you how many domination points you have.

You gain Domination Points in ways similar to VPs. When you gain control of a BO or a keep, a timer will appear over it. This timer tells you how long until your realm gains a Domination Point. Once you gain all 5 Domination Points a timer will start and tell you how long until you lock the zone. Domination Points are the most common way to lock a zone.

Locking and Controlling Zones

When a realm locks a zone it means you can’t capture anything in that zone, or try and re-lock it. Say Destruction captures Thunder Mountain, this means that the fight will continue closer to the orders capital, which is the zone of Kadrin Valley.

To the left, is a picture of one of the 3 tier’s of tier 4. As you can see here destruction has locked Butcher’s Pass, Black Crag, and Thunder Mountain. The only place that the order can capture any objectives is in Kadrin Valley.

As you can see in this picture as well, the order have “The Maw” captured. They have captured this in the Chaos tier. You are able to advance to Altdorf or The Inevitable City from any tier, as long as you capture the three forts.

When you lock a zone you will get a Renown Bonus, XP and Medallions depending on what tier you’re in.

Keeps

Rules for Keeps are different depending on your tier. There are no keeps for you to capture in T1. There are two keeps in T2 for you to capture. In T3 there are two keeps as well, these keeps will have an outer wall. In T4, the keeps will still have an outer wall and there will also be two keeps per zone.

In order to capture a keep you will need to kill the Keep Lord. If you are at least Renown Rank 30, you are able to bypass the outer wall or Inner Wall using Bypass Defenses (Requires a Postern Door). Once you kill the Keep Lord, the keep will switch to your realm and will be claimable by a guild. The PQ for the keep will also finish and the loot will be rolled for.

If you don’t win any loot you will be given an Officer’s Medallion for participating.

Battlefield Objectives

Battlefield Objectives are easier to assault then keeps. They are marked by flags on your map (see above), similar to capture points in Scenarios. Unlike keeps Battlefield Objectives can be taken with very few people. When taking a Battlefield Objective you will first have to kill the Hero and Champions around it to make the flag click able.

Once the flag is capture able, you will have to right click it and claim it. Once it is claimed you will have to protect it for 3 minutes. Once those 3 minutes are up you will capture the BO and it will become yours. It will remain yours and be un claimable by the enemy for 15 minutes. When 15 minutes passes the enemy will be able to retake it.

When you have control of a Battlefield Objective you will gain a 5% increase to renown. The effect of Battlefield Objectives stack, there for if you are holding two, you will get a 10% increase.

- When taking a BO, you will gain Xp, Renown and Influence when you capture it. (After the 3 minute period).

Tips

- If you’re assaulting or defending a keep don’t release if you die. Wait and get a rez otherwise you’ll have to run all the way back.

- Don’t leave the battle to turn in your quests. Your team needs you!

- Always form or join a warband, organization is key!

- Be patient, being impatient will just get you killed.

- Don’t wander off. If you see an enemy 5 billion miles away don’t mount up and run after him for just 1 kill, your team needs you.

F.A.Q

Q: When I charge into Butcher’s Pass (Or another similar zone) I get a pop up that says “The Supply Lines are Strained, continue to fight elsewhere” What does this mean?

A: The maximum amount of people allowed on your realm are currently fighting at the keep. You will have to help stop the enemy from entering the keep or find something else to do.

Defending Keeps

Defending a keep is rather simple. Defending a keep will take significantly less players then attacking a Keep would. Actually if you had a good Bright Wizard and Warrior Priest you could easily hold off a whole attack force. (Same goes for Sorcerer and Shaman)

The main thing you will need to do while defending a keep is to get some Oil up to fend off the attackers asap. The big can of Oil is the bane of the opposing realms existence. Without the attacking teams healers on their A game two Oil spills will wipe almost everyone at the front door.

Once you think they are going to bust down the Outer Door (Say it’s at 20% with no oil up.) Destroy the Ram pad close to your Inner Door and fall back inside the keep. Throw up a new Oil and Rinse and repeat the process.

If they manage to bust through your Inner Keep doors, then it’s time to organize yourselves and attack their main tank and healers. The extra damage of everyone on the main tank will be enough to take him down. It would also be a good idea to put some pressure on their healers. They can’t heal themselves and the tanks at the same time!

Tips & Things to keep in mind

  • If you’re a healer rez the dead! You need every person you can get to help, don’t discriminate rezzing someone just because he is retarded. Because he can be a retarded meat shield!
  • Always make sure someone has the oil up, or is on the oil. The oil is the #1 thing that can prevent anyone from taking the keep. On the same note make sure that the enemies don’t sneak through your postern door and take out the oil.
  • Destroy the outer ram pad if you know your keep is about to be under attack, same deal with the inner ram pad.
  • If a lot of people are dead, always rez the healers first, more healers alive means more rezzes to go around.
  • Always make sure you have at least two Oils on you before going and defending a keep.

Original Exploit! Volrath submitted this for VIP access, all credit to him for this post.

When combating in RvR, there is nothing more powerful as being able to interrupt your enemy’s casting, or attacks, when a particularly vicious attack will surely be detrimental to you character’s health.  To be able to do it every 5 seconds however, besides being an exploit, is also one of the more powerful effects in the game.  This is an Order only trick, it will not work for Destruction.  This exploit will allow you to “stun” your enemy every 5 second for 10 or more seconds.  It’s not a global cooldown, so it won’t affect any other spell or effect.  This will easily allow you to clean up the battlefield, one enemy at a time, especially when they can’t get an attack in to hit you.

Want another great reason to get an Android over an iPhone?  How about if you can play WoW (or any other game) on it?

Depending on which Android based phone you have, it may alter how well you can play WoW. On the Droid, I can essentially utilize it for checking up on friends via whispers, et cetera.  Other phones may also allow you to play a bit in some battles, just not large ones or pvp, as likely the battles will be to fast for you.  Here’s how to run WoW on your Android…

This is our list of must have addons for Warhammer, and why we consider them must have.

Dammaz Kron, The Great Book of Grudges!

Intends to record all your PVP deaths, shared victories and deathblows in order to help you in revenging your grudges and knowing your enemies ;)
In this new part of the Tome of Knowledge, you can find all your last interactions entries split into 3 parts (Open RvR, Scenario and Overall). Each of those parts, display a list that can be sort up and down by Career, Name, Level, Deathblows, Victories, Deaths, Score or Date. Then by clicking on a Name, you can access to an enemy’s profile page and see his RvR stats.

  • Deathblows are added when you finish off an opponent.
  • Victories are added when you help to kill an opponent.
  • Defeats are added when an opponent kills you.
  • The score is the difference between deathblows and defeats.

I really enjoy this addon, it is helpful for when I am running around playing my Chaos Zealot and I get ganked near ORvR areas or just get very fed up with a White Lion in the Scenarios and come back with my Choppah.

Character View Expanded Stats (CaVES)

takes the five stats category groups that can only be viewed one at a time in the standard Character View and displays them all at once in a single window. This allows players to see the many stats that change and are affected by a single or multiple equipment changes as well as other stat modification events. CaVES is a perfect tool for all classes and all levels, allowing easier optimizing of all character stats.

Now THIS is a wonderful Addon. It helps me out greatly when I need to decide on which pieces of gear I should use, whether or not I should swap out my shiny RvR earned set for a seemingly better piece and if it’s worth losing the set bonus et cetera.

Kwestor

A widely customizable quest tracker, built to replace the built-in tracker. It allows you to…

  1. filter quests depending on zone, RVR status, status and more
  2. enables fully customizable sorting of the tracked quests
  3. auto hiding of quest conditions
  4. layout customization, including various colors, fonts and alignment
  5. ability to select objects “behind” the quest tracker frame
  6. easy access to full quest description in the tome

“Tired of the built-in quest tracker? Want more customization options? Want to click through the quests to target mobs and object behind the tracker? Install Kwestor!”

While I really, really love being able to click though the tracker and the better, refreshing look of it. However I am a little bothered by the size of the font as I haven’t really gone in and bothered trying to customize it perfectly.

LibSlash

A basic library for registering slash commands in the WAR interface.

With LibSlash installed, you’ll also be able to use /addon or /uimod to open the Addons window in-game.

This addon is a must have if you have other Addons relying on custom /slash commands. and the addon config command is very handy, however I have found that this does not work with some of the newer addons that have custom slash commands.

Squared

Squared is a highly-customizable unit frame addon similar to the widely-known WoW addon “Grid”. It provides a very compact view of health for you, your group, your warband, or your scenario. Clicking on a square will target the associated player.

This addon is simply beautiful. As a Zealot I am constantly buffing and healing people in warbands and parties, Squared makes selecting my group members and monitoring their health MUCH easier.

Squared – Healbot

SquaredHealBot provides mouse-click healing inside the Squared unit frames. You select a combination of modifiers, like ALT, SHIFT, CONTROL to be assigned to a certain spell. When you hold down those keys and left-click on your target, it will cast that spell on the selected target. If you have “clear target” enabled (it is off by default), it can clear your target after the spell has been cast. You cannot assign right-mouse clicks until Mythic allows it, but you can assign spells to any combination of modifiers and a left-mouse click.

Again, as a Zealot I am constantly buffing and healing, this addon makes it THAT MUCH MORE simpler and efficient to do. with a simple alt + click on someone’s name I am able to use my Dark Medicine ability right away and then click on someone elses name and cast Flash of Chaos to give them a quick patch over. VERY beautifully working addon indeed and highly recommended for people who constantly buff and have to interact with their warband.

Tome Titan

This add-on is designed to display data ingame in an easily readable format. It includes sections for Bestiary, Lore/History, Noteworthy Persons, Cultivation information, Lair Locations and Exploration/Pursuits information –with more categories planned on the way!
In short: Tome Titan is to help keep you from having to alt tab.

Features!

  • List all known Bestiary, History/Lore, and Noteworthy Persons unlocks.
  • You can toggle hiding completed entries!
  • Easily can be expanded to include any information you want!
  • Native support for popular Bar/Board add-ons!
  • Adds a button to your minimap for easy access — the button can be hidden via slash commands or moved via layout editor.
  • Constantly updating the Data files for known unlocks, check back often to stay current!
  • In game Change Log section accessed via the Tome Titan “FAQ and Credits” page will keep you up to date on all changes we make in each release.

I have saved the best for last, this addon makes gathering Tactics and Tokens such a breeze it’s ridiculous, the only issue I have with it is a few entries for unlocks are either vague or poorly written. A must have if you like becoming immersed in the Lore like myself. The unlockable perks aren’t bad either

If you have any other must have addons, please share them with us, and explain why they are on your must have list.

If you have been living in the dark ages of gaming, then likely you have never heard of these programs.  On the other hand, for a small donation to the people who make these programs, you will have access to them.

WarExtDLL is an extension that can be loaded into memory, when Warhammer is online, which will allow you to run some specialized hacks for Warhammer.

Zeabot, uses the WarExtDLL file, in order to automate the casting of spells.

HackPack is a compilation of smaller hacks, such as Line of Sight, Flying, Teleport (warp), and MapHack.

For those of you who wish to macro and bot in games, there is no better solution then Macro Goblin.  I have had the fortune to work with Jack in the past, and while his program does not support World of Warcraft as a memory reading/editing solution. However it does support many online games, including Aion, Warhammer, Age of Conan, EverQuest 2, Lord of the Rings Online, and more.  The nice thing about this macro software, is that you can use it in virtually any game including World of Warcraft), as it can be used as a pixel bot.  A Pixel bot, simply watches for color changes, and then when a color change happens, it performs a task, like move mouse to XY or press a key.  They also support crafting macros which is great if you hate to do crafting individually.  Of all the game bot programs out there, this is definitely one of my favorites and most reliable solutions.  I also want to mention that Jack tends to answer questions posted right away on his forums and he doesn’t flame noobs, which can happen with other bot suites. I really loved the excitement of getting the title of “Ow my eye” when I first played WAR.  I was actually disappointed when Blizzard added titles and achievements to WoW, as they weren’t as fun as WAR’s version.  But it does show you that WoW still takes great ideas from other games and adds it to their game. – Spitt

This is how you get

  • “Ow my eye” – Click on yourself 100 times
  • “The Vain” – Click on yourself 5000 times
  • “The Target” – Get targeted 100 times while unarmored
  • “The Mark” – Get targeted 1000 times while unarmored
  • “Easy Target” – Get targeted 10,000 times while unarmored
  • “Poser” – Get targeted outside combat 100 times unarmored
  • “Celebrity” Get targeted outside combat 1000 times unarmored
  • “The Ogler” – Target an unarmored player 100 times
  • “The Watcher” – target and unarmored player 1000 times
  • “The Voyeur” – Target an unarmored player 10,000 times
  • “Self-Centered” – Target yourself while unarmored 100 times
  • “Egomaniac” – Target yourself while unarmored 1000 times
  • “Narcissist” – Target yourself while unarmored 10,00 times

John Cox, a development manager at Mythic, tells a short story about how they catch cheaters.

First off, what type of hacking am I talking about here?  In this case I’m talking about third party programs that allow players to do things in the game world with their characters that wouldn’t normally be allowed, or even possible.

The first thing we do is get involved covertly.  Believe it or not, any of you hackers out there, we’re members of your online communities, sometimes silently listening, sometimes actively participating.  The best place to figure out what hackers are trying and what they’ve figured out about us is to hide among them.  In some cases we go so far as to get the hacks and use them internally in a controlled space in order to develop responses to them.  Second, our CS department observes players and reports on odd activities so we can investigate further. Third, we get word-of-mouth reports about suspicious behavior from other players and business partners.

If you have ever thought about cheating, that’s great.  Made a hack (or bot)… even greater! If you’ve released it publicly or given it away for free… not so great.

I want to point out one very important aspect.  It’s one I have been familiar since 2001 about, when Turbine tried to get into my forums, ac-exploiters… “The first thing we do is get involved covertly.  Believe it or not, any of you hackers out there, we’re members of your online communities, sometimes silently listening, sometimes actively participating.  The best place to figure out what hackers are trying and what they’ve figured out about us is to hide among them.

They be a watchin!  I suppose the best way to make sure someone is one of us, would be to simply ask them to contribute with information that can be verified, before they are given access to the hack.  Or perhaps simply find a small core of people make them each program a routine, test it out for a month or so, and see if you get banned.  If you don’t then assume it’s safe.

A couple years back, Blizzard pulled a really nasty trick on some of us.  If we were using a hack called InnerSpace, we downloaded a special patch. None of us knew about it, but it ended up waiting for us to use the hack, and then banning us.  My wife was really pissed when I got her banned, lol.

The thing I actually don’t like about game hackers, isn’t so much the hacking, but using it to pwn peeps in PvP.  I once saw a level 20, take out a level 65.  It was in Asheron’s Call, and while many of you don’t know the game, you can understand what I mean, when I say that this shouldn’t happen unless the other person didn’t try to fight back, they were afk, or any other number of things… but the guy was there, he wasn’t afk, he did try to fight back.  Hacking the game is one thing, but using it like that, showing off, is both stupid, and wrong.  The only consolation I have is when you get banned for it, you definitely deserved it.

What I really detest, is what can come after that… using it to actually hack people’s accounts.  If you don’t already know it, I am against account hacking.  It usually ends up with people getting hurt, and can even lead to death.  Yes, death.  When someone loses their account, that they worked so hard to level, it can lead to depression and from there, several paths can lead the wrong way.  I have used so many hacks and bots over the years, that I don’t do it on my personal accounts anymore.  However my WoW account is now on #11.  That means that the first 10 accounts were banned or lost.  Now whenever I want to test a hack or a bot, I pull out a spare account (I have many of them), and use that to test things.

Do you have a story, you can share about a game hacker that pwned you, or a story about using a game hack? Write a response.
