I found this bug/exploit a few days ago, while playing RoM. It allows you to move forward – or away from a mob and to cast non-instant spells while doing so. However like most bugs, there is a trick to it, and a set of conditions which need to be applied. I tried this on a ranged DPS (priest) and it worked fine. I don’t know for which other classes it might work, thats up to you to explore.
You need to find a steady slope hill, which cannot be climbed. Go around on top of it, from a ridge. Facing towards the mob you want to attack, and away from the slope, cast a spell at the mob. Now step back, so that you start to slide backwards. Continue to cast spells as the mob, you will be able to cast as you slide away.
The opposite also works, to move towards a mob, but they have to be down the slope.
Rinse/repeat with more mobs as necessary.
