Evony, Age 2: How to defend against drafting

Drafting, is when someone steals your troops and resources, out from under you. Use these methods to keep both your troops and your resources safe.

The easiest way to defend against drafting, is to build up your troops, to conquer the invading troops.  But if you know you can’t win, or get enough troops in the 8 hour period, then you need to take other matters into your hands.

First reduce production on everything except food, to 0.  This will prevent you from producing and providing your enemy with your own resources. Then we get our resources and troops out of the city.  We can reinforce a nearby valley that we own, to do that for both left over resources as well as armies. Next, we want to spend the resources, to build up wall defenses. If these are at max, skip to next step. Last we also build build build.  Build up your farms, sawmills, or ironmines – or choose another building that could go higher.

Tip: If you are going to join an alliance, but you need more prestige to join, then you can ask the alliance to Colonize and Suppress you.  By doing this, you gain a time, when no one else can do this to you.  The alliance can then not take resources and troops from you.
