Why train Thieving?

  1. Makes excellent amounts of money–for some, over 750k per hour.
  2. Getting able to make that kind of money is much faster than getting high RC.
  3. Money made is more non-player-dependent. Unlike hunters, the number of people at a place do not create more competition.
  4. The cape is awesome.

Ok, to get started here…

Low-Level Thieving

With the release of buyers and cellars, no longer do you have to start by pickpocketing men!

Do th
e quest Buyers and Cellars ASAP. As you level up, remember to keep coming back to do subquests.
It is in the Thieving guild.

Stay in the guild and pickpocket the trainers until
30 Thieving.

Then, do “The Feud” quest in Al Kharid. Whether you bot or legit, this quest is important. This will get you to 37 Thieving.

These next levels, 37-41, get by doing what you have done previously, or go to master farmers/chests.

Mid-Level Thieving

At 41, do the 2nd subquest of BaC, Lost Her Marbles. This will enable you to use the Advanced Pickpocketing Trainer.

What I did from 41 to 80 is use the Advanced Pickpocketing Trainer.

However, there are 2 things you can do here:
1. APT
2. Blackjacking in the Desert

For each, you must have done “The Feud

APTs are much safer than Blackjacking, so I’d advise that. Its really fast anyways, 100k 8-O per hour or so.

APT’s (in the Thieving Guild)

Blackjacking–in Pollnivneach

It should not take too long to get to 8x Thieving.

High-Level Thieving

At 81, you can:

1: Go do Pyramid Plunder. Not recommended for skillers however.
Required Quests are:

Contact! , and thus by definition,
Icthlarin’s Little Helper and its requirements.

PP can be botted with Aman’s script. Its paid.

At 81, expect around 100k xp/hr
At
91, 200k xp/hr

2: Continue either blackjacking in desert or APT’s.

At this level, expect upwards of 150k xp/hr in the desert and 120k xp/hr at APTs.

3: My personal favorite: Master Farmers!

With 58 Agi, these are excellent money.

At 80 Thieving, 58 Agi, 54 Hunter (gloves of silence) expect 70k xp per hour and around 400-500k GP/hr.

At 90 Thieving, 58 Agi, 54 Hunter (gloves of silence) expect 80k xp per hour and around 550-650k GP/hr.

At 99 Thieving, 58 Agi, 54 Hunter (gloves of silence) + Ardy 3 expect over 100k xp per hour and around 700-900k GP/hr.

Efficiency:

I will use sudoku as the base: at 1500k gp/hr. (I doubt its still 1500k gp/hr, but whatever)
Comparison between Mf’s and APT at
80 thieving.

APT: 120k xp/hr, 0 gp/hr.

MF: 70k xp/hr, 450k gp/hr.

Thus, in 1 hour, you get 50k xp more and 450k gp less with APTs.

The time it takes to get 50k xp is worth more than 450k gp, so the winner is APTs

Comparison between Mf’s and APT at 90 thieving.

APT: 120k xp/hr, 0 gp/hr.

MF: 80k xp/hr, 600k gp/hr.

Thus, in 1 hour, you get 40k xp more and 600k gp less with APTs.

The time it takes to get 40k xp is worth less than 600k gp, in fact, worth so the winner is MF’s.
