Blizzard has made an official announcement, that Starcraft II: Wings of Liberty will be released on July 27, 2010 (reference). What really got my attention however, is that it will be released before Blizzcon this year. Usually, a fan base, is where they want to make the unofficial announcement, as it gets people really psyched about something. However, to be fair, from what i have read, shortly after Blizzcon, is when they will be releasing WoW: Cataclysm. So my guess is that they don’t want to have the two properties, compete.
