64 Code S & Code A players who were determined through the 3 Open seasons, play matches in the first league. With these qualified players, our e-sports fans can enjoy high quality STARCRAFT II games and new match systems of GSL 2011 tour. As it has already announced, there are 3 types of matches (Code S, Code A, Up and Down) under this sponsorship league.

Matches are played in Best of 7! English commentary by Tastosis.  Sony Ericsson GSL Jan. was hosted from January 2nd to January 29th, 2011.
