Building and siege engine construction plays an important role in Age of Conan. These tasks are performed by Architects. Some of the materials used in Architecture can be acquired through various sources within the game, or by spending a bit of AoC Gold to buy them.

Please note that any instance of the words Gold, Silver, Copper, or Tin refer to the trade resource materials that can be harvested from ore veins and not AoC Gold, Silver, Copper, or Tin currency.

After 1.05 if you stealth and then hit your mount button you will mount and run at mounted speed while stealthed. This is a great way to sneak up on your enemies.

Go to a flat wall, of a guild that is not yours.

You must be directly in the center of it on your horse and continuously jump while on your horse.

You will be able to jump through the wall into someone else’s guild.

For those of you who wish to macro and bot in games, there is no better solution then Macro Goblin.  I have had the fortune to work with Jack in the past, and while his program does not support World of Warcraft as a memory reading/editing solution. However it does support many online games, including Aion, Warhammer, Age of Conan, EverQuest 2, Lord of the Rings Online, and more.  The nice thing about this macro software, is that you can use it in virtually any game including World of Warcraft), as it can be used as a pixel bot.  A Pixel bot, simply watches for color changes, and then when a color change happens, it performs a task, like move mouse to XY or press a key.  They also support crafting macros which is great if you hate to do crafting individually.  Of all the game bot programs out there, this is definitely one of my favorites and most reliable solutions.  I also want to mention that Jack tends to answer questions posted right away on his forums and he doesn’t flame noobs, which can happen with other bot suites.  The other thing I want to mention is that I am not an affiliate advertiser, nor does Jack pay me cash for posting the wholesome goodness of his product.  I really do believe in his product and have use it in the past.

The only downside to his products that I have found;

• He doesn’t support a memory reading bot for WoW – tho this is good too, since it means you are highly unlikely to get banned.
• There is a yearly cost.  However a free bot suite, doesn’t get the support that Jack offers, so personally I think the $30 a year is worth it.
• His multi-boxing requires multiple computers.  You cannot multi-box in one computer, for multiple instances of the game.

It seems that both GameStop and Barnes & Nobel are selling 60 day time cards for $12.99.  This is usually an indication that these types of stores want to stop selling this product, so they will dump their stock near their cost.  But I have to wonder, is AoC doing so poorly in sales, does this mean that B&N and GS are just the first of many companies to do this?

I remember back in the day not being able to find Asheron’s Call on the shelves of any story, and knew it would be the death of the game – little did I realize that the game would still be alive today, albeit with only 1k-2k players.  Of course, 1k-2k players * $15 a month, is a good reason to keep a few servers online that only cost you a few hundred a month.

Edit! Barnes and Nobel and GameStop have stopped Selling Age of Conan subscription cards.  You can still get them at Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures 60-Day Time Card though.

This is best done with an AOE/caster class. In FOTD, there is the alpha wolf boss where there is a large rock you can get up onto above him.  Climb up onto that rock.

Hit the boss with a spell. You don’t want to kill him. Everytime you hit him, he spawns several adds… keep hitting him until you have as many adds as you’d like to kill with aoe!

Because neither the adds nor the boss can get to you, the adds just keep spawning w/o attacking. It still works.

You can level up from lvl 40 to around lvl 50 using this method overnight.

Up in the Eig Mountains, at the whitehand camp. There is a boss called Diabolist Aino, she’s level 54. She will spawn 4 “minions,” but they are not labeled minions. You receive full xp from them. Don’t attack the boss, let her live, as your group will easily heal her damage.

Every time you kill the 4 “minions”, they respawn and you get endless waves of exp.  In a group, you should be able to level every hour, till they no longer give xp.

When someone does a search for an item on the trader, it will give a page of results. For example, do a search for Beguiler Blood and it will show various amounts from different sellers.

If you don’t like the competition and want to own the market on Beguiler Blood, break up all your stacks and sell them individually 1 at a time. This way when someone does a search, only yours will show up (assuming you have that many to sell).  The benefit to this, is that you can now list your prices higher then the competition, and the competition won’t be competition any more.  People can still use the advance search feature to find other sellers, but you would be surprised how many people won’t to do this.

It’s also handy if you have an alt with a bank guild just to use as extra storage if you plan to flood the market with something.  This way, you can save up on a certain item, to where you will be able to flood the market.

If you go to Epic field of the dead, in the very south there are about 15 bosses. If you are above 70 and have some Level 50 guild mates. You can take them there and acquire level 50 Blue sets of armor. This armor is similar to the level 80 sets, and the stats on this armor are very good for level 50-70.
This zone has quite a few gold farmers in it as well, but these farmers aren’t interested in the loot since they drop decent silver as well. You can easily go loot the farmers’ drops and get even more blue loot. Some of the gear is Bind on Pickup, others aren’t.
