To level your Cooking skill, you need to complete ‘work orders’ that are given by the Cooking expert NPC. The Elyos Cooking expert is Hestia, who can be found at the Artisans’ Hall in Sanctum.
To make crafting easier, position yourself between the nearest Cooking workstation and Hestia so that you can quickly turn in your work orders.
1.Right click on Hestia and click on ‘Craft Request’ to accept the Gritty Scallop work order.
2.Right-click the Cooking workstation to bring up the craft window. Select Cooking and click on the Craft: Gritty Scallop recipe.
3.If you already have the ingredients, indicate the correct amount of items to craft according to the work order and click on ‘craft’. In this case, you need to make 3 Gritty Scallop.
Note: There is a chance that your craft will fail so make sure you have more than enough materials to craft.
4.Go back to Hestia to turn in your work order and receive skill points.
At 1P, you receive 1 skill point for every completed work order. Repeat this work order until you get 10 skill points. Your next work order will be for 10P and will require relatively more materials to craft, but will give you more skill points. As you increase your skill, the work orders increase in amount and difficulty of obtaining items.
The success and failure of your crafting are dependent on your skill level.
You can purchase more recipes and supplies from the merchant in your race’s crafting area. As you increase your Cooking skill level, some recipes can be obtained from quests or monster drops.
Aion’s Handicrafting crafting skill enables players to create earrings, necklaces, rings, glasses, staffs, and bows. Handicrafting is the most rewarding craft money-wise, as most of the accessories that can be made through Handicrafting sell for decent amounts of Aion Kinah. As with any other skill, leveling up your Handicrafting skill will consume huge amounts of Aion Kinah; training costs anything from 3,500 Kinah up to more than 100,000 Kinah at higher levels, not including the cost of failed crafts and Materials. This guide explains how to fight against other classes using tips for General situations composed of suggestions from many high lvl and experienced Korean players.
Greater CC Pots = Greater Healing Potions
I’m sure I’m not the only one who’s spent a few million kinah on gear for your alts or mains even only to outgrow it in a level. Interestingly Aion has addressed this issue with their Rent-A-Gear system, or I should say Rent-A-Set since you can rent an entire set of armor instantly.
Of course, there are positives and negatives about this system.
The good is that if you did decide to make an alt, one you reach level 25 you can instantly rent a full set of level 25 blues to make leveling a load faster.
There are a few ways to acquire rental gear other than just buying it; you can also do daily quests and Mist Merchants however the gear that is acquired that way has different rent times; some being 3 days, 7 days or even 14 days.
The bad is that it’s… well, temporary and expensive.
If you already have a max level main money probably isn’t an issue. Once you rent a piece of gear you have it for 14 days and once those days are up you instantly lose the gear, even in mid fight!
The prices of the gear are the same regardless of your armor type; the level 25 gear is 860,000 kinah, the level 35 gear is 1,200,000 kinah, and the level 45 gear is over 1,500,000 kinah. Weapons on the other hand are a bit cheaper ranging from 470,000 to 757,000 kinah.
I for one am going to dust off my old Chanter now that I can get a nice blue whoop-ass stick it should make leveling a lot easier and definitely more fun.
As you’ve perhaps heard from our past newsletters Aion is going to be getting server merges soon, and thankfully this time around NCsoft is offering each character 6 free server transfers until August 18th, so make sure you and your friends decide where you want to settle down as your new home and get transferring!
I know some people may burn me at the stake for saying this but I can’t wait for the server merges, having a huge influx of people to group with and fight against in the abyss is going to be a blast. I think it’ll turn out good, at least let’s hope it turns out better than the Warhammer Online merges >.>

In order to be effective at leveling up, you need to deal damage. The faster you kill an enemy the better. With a Cleric you can have both damage and protection, as they can wear chain armor and wield a shield. The basic build of this class is with chain armor, shield, mace and lots of HP manastones. This provides great survivability but takes away a lot of damage. I saw a little modification to this build that made me very good in PvE. Continue reading »

With the recent banning of 27,000 accounts for botting and game hacking, this is a use at your own risk kind of thing. But I want to mention that likely most of those bans were because of 24/7 botters like gold farmers, bot powerlevelers, and game hackers, who just like to show off, or don’t know that anything beyond 12 hours of play a day, is suspicious. There were a ton of botters who did not get caught, and we can only surmise that this was because they were smart about it.
In any case, this is a bot, which can do quite a lot of things, including skill gains, quest repeating, and of course leveling. Unfortunately, only the first 20 levels of it are free, and after that, you will have to pay for it, so this is more of a free trial kind of thing. It will be $4.95 for each additional month of play.
