Multiplayer Combat Video Released

If I didn’t see it with my own eyes I probably would write it all off as a joke, however after watching the video it totally dawned on me that SWtOR was in fact a multiplayer game! /endsarcasm.

But jokes aside this is the first actual multiplayer combat video of SWtOR that has been released and it’s flippin flappin amazing, right off the bat you’re introduced to all 4 classes while they do their special emotes and have their roles described.

First you have the Trooper who is so badass that he tanks with a giant shotgun; next is the Smuggler who apparently has a lot of spare money and is classified as sort of a support damage class; next is the Jedi Knight (drool) which is classified as pretty heavy melee dps; and lastly is the Jedi Consular who is described by this sentence “If she lets the trooper die, everyone is done for” which I’m going to assume makes her the healer.

I’d try my best to explain the battle but it’s all a haze, the only thing I remember is me staring as the screen with my jaw dropped, I don’t think I blinked for about 30 minutes after I watched it.

After watching this video it pretty much made up my mind which game I’m going to be playing for the new few years, I’m just happy to see that the majority of people were wrong when they were saying that the game is too “cartoony”, personally I think the cell shaded look of it is pretty awesome.

Enough jibba jabba, follow the link!

SWtOR Multiplayer Action!

SWtOR Not Coming to Consoles Anytime Soon

Don’t kill the messenger, remember I just gave you guys an awesome SWtOR multiplayer combat video..
SWtOR isn’t coming to consoles! Alas there’s no hope of smuggling pink lightsabers on your PS3 or Rogaine made for Wookiees on your XBOX360.

So what does this mean? Probably nothing, if you’re reading this you most likely have a computer and play an MMO and thats the audience SWtOR is targeting. It does mean a potentially smaller player base. I was a big FFXI player/fan I always found it somehow satisfying that I could connect with the console gamer in me, while still keeping a firm grasp on my MMO addiction!

The main thing I hope is that if, er, (crosses fingers, toes and ears) WHEN the game is a huge success, that Bioware may reconsider their decision so I can lay on my couch eating popcorn and kill me some Gormaks..

The Minstrel is the undisputed Master of Middle Earth multimedia. But we mean old school media: we’ll tell you how to use your Songs, Ballads, Musical Instruments, and more to heal friends and hurt foes, without running out of Power Points before your presentation is done.

Solo? No!

Let’s get the bad news out of the way: the minstrel is not a good solo class, likely the worst in all of LOTRO. Limited armor and dps mean that fights are lengthy and require you to self-heal. This isn’t only tedious, but also gives plenty of time for adds to show up and ruin your day.

The flip side of this is that finding a group as a Minstrel is pretty easy. As in most MMOs, members of the main healing class are in high demand. If you would rather be playing in a group than solo anyways, the Minstrel is a great choice. If on the other hand, you prefer soloing, then a Minstrel should not be your choice. Continue reading »

Runes of Magic, a free to play MMORPG, offers players to the ability to dual class. If you want to tank when you feel like it or be a healer or even a dps class then you can easily do it without needing to level up more than one character.

What is the Dual Class Feature?

Dual class simply means that you can pick and play two completely different classes and be able to fill their roles. For example, you can play either as a Knight and tank for groups on elite quests and dungeons, switch over to a secondary class to heal or dps or you can even create your own hybrid to fill more than one role at the same time.

Once a player reaches level 10 they can learn their secondary class. The player has the option to choose any two of the 6 available classes for their secondary class. It is as easy as talking to an NPC and switching between the two or playing as a hybrid. Continue reading »

This is a superb build, which I felt needed to be shared in detail. In actuality Bards aren’t likely to be a very popular class, however this particular build makes for a superb support class, and you can still pump out some nice damage as well. The best of both worlds! Continue reading »

hunter_hit_cap

There are a lot of places that show what Hit Caps and other skills should be for level 80 in a raid, but they write it in such a way that it becomes so confusing. This is a simple list of what you should have. Is it in depth and exact? No. It’s meant to give you a simple number to aim for, which is what most players want to know. There are variables that may raise or lower these numbers, but these are simply a standard to aim for. If you get to the numbers for your class listed here, you will have no problems.

Death Knight:

Hit Rating Cap: 263 (8%) with 3 talent points in Nerves of Cold Steel.

Druid:

Feral: 263 (8%)

Boomkin: 263 with 3 talent points in Improved Faerie Fire.

Hunter:

Hit Rating Cap: 263 (8%)
If you have 3 points in Focus Fire, you only need 165.

Mage:

Hit Rating Cap: 240 (9.15%) with 3 talent points in Arcane Focus.

Paladin:

Retribution: 263 (8%)

Priest:

Shadow: 289 (8%) with 3 talent points in Shadow Focus and 3 talent points in Misery.

Rogue:

Hit Rating Cap: 263 with 5 talent points in Precision.

Shaman:

Hit Rating Cap:

Elemental: 297 (11.32%) This includes 3 talent points in Elemental Precision.

Enhancement: 341 (14%)

Warlock:

Hit Rating: 368 (14%) this is with 3 talent points in Suppression.

Warrior:

Hit Rating Cap:

Arms: 262.32 (8%)

Fury: 262.32 (8%) The same as Arms, however there is a cheap method with talents.
Put 3 talent points into Precision and you only need 163.95.
