In World of Warcraft, the Leatherworking profession enables players to forge various weapons, armor, and other items using metals, minerals, and other materials.

It’s recommended that aspiring Leatherworkers take up Skinning as a secondary profession, since this profession calls for a lot of leather and hide. If you don’t opt to take Skinning as a secondary profession, you can always buy WoW Gold and purchase the materials you need at the Auction House.

Proficiency

As with all professions, Leatherworking has six proficiency levels, which are listed in the table below. As you increase your character’s level and your Leatherworking skill level, you can increase your Leatherworking Proficiency by visiting a Leatherworking Trainer. While any Leatherworking Trainer in Azeroth can teach you Apprentice to Artisan Leatherworking, you can only learn Master Leatherworking in Outland or Northrend, and Grand Master Leatherworking in Northrend.

Training costs WoW Gold, and the prices differ depending on whether you chose Leatherworking as your Primary or Secondary profession. Continue reading »

In World of Warcraft, the Inscription enables players to craft scrolls, glyphs, off-hand tomes, vellum, and Darkmoon cards.

Inscription goes well with Herbalism, since you can use Milling (a skill that comes with Inscription) to break herbs down into pigments you can use. You might need to buy WoW Gold to ensure that you have enough funds to buy your materials at the Auction House if you opt not to take Herbalism.

As with all professions, Inscription has six proficiency levels, which are listed in the table below. Aion’s Cooking crafting skill enables players to cook food using a variety of ingredients. Apart from replenishing HP/MP/DP, different kinds of food provide various buffs, including increased Flight Time, increased Maximum MP/HP, and boosts in Skills. As with any other skill, leveling up your Cooking skill will consume huge amounts of Aion Kinah; training costs anything from 3,500 Kinah up to more than 100,000 Kinah at higher levels, not including the cost of failed crafts and ingredients.

To level your Cooking skill, you need to complete ‘work orders’ that are given by the Cooking expert NPC. The Elyos Cooking expert is Hestia, who can be found at the Artisans’ Hall in Sanctum.

To make crafting easier, position yourself between the nearest Cooking workstation and Hestia so that you can quickly turn in your work orders.

1.Right click on Hestia and click on ‘Craft Request’ to accept the Gritty Scallop work order.
2.Right-click the Cooking workstation to bring up the craft window. Select Cooking and click on the Craft: Gritty Scallop recipe.
3.If you already have the ingredients, indicate the correct amount of items to craft according to the work order and click on ‘craft’. In this case, you need to make 3 Gritty Scallop.
Note: There is a chance that your craft will fail so make sure you have more than enough materials to craft.
4.Go back to Hestia to turn in your work order and receive skill points.

At 1P, you receive 1 skill point for every completed work order. Repeat this work order until you get 10 skill points. Your next work order will be for 10P and will require relatively more materials to craft, but will give you more skill points. As you increase your skill, the work orders increase in amount and difficulty of obtaining items.

The success and failure of your crafting are dependent on your skill level.

You can purchase more recipes and supplies from the merchant in your race’s crafting area. As you increase your Cooking skill level, some recipes can be obtained from quests or monster drops.

Cooking For A Kingdom

One of the most anticipated MMOs of 2010 is Perfect World Entertainment’s Heroes of the Three Kingdoms. It’s not just anticipated for its campaign-based PvP scenarios or its dynamic fighting and combat system, but for a combination of things, including a very extensive tradecraft system, which includes cooking. The basics of cooking in Heroes of the Three Kingdoms consist of a few basic materials and the requirement of recipes. The good part is that most of the recipes are easily attainable from beginner cooking NPCs.

Unlike a lot of other MMOs out there that require lots of material or items in order to make simple meals, things are just the opposite in this game. This Heroes of the Three Kingdoms cooking guide will help inform and enlighten you about what you can make and where to find some of the ingredients. Continue reading »

In Final Fantasy XI (FFXI), Alchemists are able to create medicines, potions, enhanced weapons, and Ninjutsu tools through combining different materials and crystals. With over 350 different recipes, Alchemy is the largest among the available crafts, and as such has a large amount of sources for materials.

A lot of Alchemy supplies can be purchased from guild merchant or from other players for FFXI Gil, so you might want to buy FFXI Gil to ensure that you have enough funds for your crafting materials.

Alchemy Ranks and Tests

To become an alchemist, go to the upper level of the primary Alchemist’s Guild in the Bastok Mines and speak to Guildmaster Abd-al-Raziq. You will then become an Alchemist with the rank Amateur.

To advance your rank as an alchemist, you have to speak to Abd-al-Raziq and complete the tests he gives you. These tests will require you to craft specific items.

As with all the crafts, there are 9 ranks in Alchemy. Below is a table listing the ranks, what skill level you need to be at to take your next test, and what item you need to craft (ingredients for the items can be found in the Recipes section of this guide). Continue reading »

I have been leveling each of my characters, and along the way leveling some professions up.  I now have 450 Enchanting, 450 Blacksmithing, 450 Cooking, 450 Fishing, 400 Lockpicking, 450 Inscription, 450 Tailoring, and 450 Engineering.  This is over 5 level 80 characters.  So, it’s now time to work on my Jewelcrafting.  But once again, it looks like I don’t have a guide up here, so this will rectify that. Here’s a well researched guide for you to follow to maximize your skill.  It will not tell you where to get all the recipes, nor help with faction recipes, but it’s very efficient.

In World of Warcraft, the Jewelcrafting enables players to craft items such as gems for socketed items, trinkets, rings, necklaces.

Jewelcrafting goes well with Mining since gems and the ore that you need for certain recipes can be acquired through mining ore veins. Even if you do take Mining, though, Jewelcrafting is still expensive to level. You might want to buy WoW Gold to ensure that you have enough funds to buy your materials.

Jewelcrafting Proficiency

As with all professions, Jewelcrafting has six proficiency levels, which are listed in the table below. As you increase your character’s level and your Jewelcrafting skill level, you can increase your Jewelcrafting Proficiency by visiting a Jewelcrafting Trainer. While any Jewelcrafting Trainer in Azeroth can teach you Apprentice to Artisan Jewelcrafting, you can only learn Master Jewelcrafting in Outland or Northrend, and Grand Master Jewelcrafting in Northrend.

Training costs WoW Gold, and the prices differ depending on whether you chose Jewelcrafting as your Primary or Secondary profession.

In World of Warcraft, the Alchemy profession enables players to create potions, elixirs, oil, flasks, and cauldrons from various herbs and reagents. Items produced from Alchemy have a variety of effects, ranging from healing to elemental resistance and more.

Given that Alchemy uses a lot of herbs, it’s recommended that aspiring Alchemists take up Herbalism as a secondary profession. This makes it easier to obtain herbs on your own as opposed to having to purchase them for WoW Gold from other players.

Proficiency

As with all professions, Alchemy has six proficiency levels, which are listed in the table below. As you increase your character’s level and your Alchemy skill level, you can increase your Alchemy Proficiency by visiting an Alchemy Trainer. Mixology

At skill level 50, Alchemists acquire the passive ability, Mixology. This ability doubles the duration of any flask or elixir that the Alchemist created and consumed himself/herself. It also increases the effect of the flask/elixir slightly, and this increase varies per item. Continue reading »

These days, so few people craft. They would rather sit around, buying potions and food from others.  Those who do craft, rarely want to go out and get their own mats.  This is where this simple guide will accelerate you into the world of being rich.

At a low level you can obtain gathering skills from an in game npc (hunter). In the human world it is easy to kill and harvest meat and horns from the level 5 deer. You can either sell these items for a good price, or you can develop your crafting skills and make sugary sweet potatoes (a defense buff potion). These items easily sell and are a great way to get ahead with gold.

You will need a pot to use alchemy, a pan to use cooking, and a knife to harvest.

Tip: Find regular buyers for crafting mats, this will keep you always healthy with a buyer and allow you to quickly get more gold.
