To level your Cooking skill, you need to complete ‘work orders’ that are given by the Cooking expert NPC. The Elyos Cooking expert is Hestia, who can be found at the Artisans’ Hall in Sanctum.

To make crafting easier, position yourself between the nearest Cooking workstation and Hestia so that you can quickly turn in your work orders.

1.Right click on Hestia and click on ‘Craft Request’ to accept the Gritty Scallop work order.
2.Right-click the Cooking workstation to bring up the craft window. Select Cooking and click on the Craft: Gritty Scallop recipe.
3.If you already have the ingredients, indicate the correct amount of items to craft according to the work order and click on ‘craft’. In this case, you need to make 3 Gritty Scallop.
Note: There is a chance that your craft will fail so make sure you have more than enough materials to craft.
4.Go back to Hestia to turn in your work order and receive skill points.

At 1P, you receive 1 skill point for every completed work order. Repeat this work order until you get 10 skill points. Your next work order will be for 10P and will require relatively more materials to craft, but will give you more skill points. As you increase your skill, the work orders increase in amount and difficulty of obtaining items.

The success and failure of your crafting are dependent on your skill level.

You can purchase more recipes and supplies from the merchant in your race’s crafting area. As you increase your Cooking skill level, some recipes can be obtained from quests or monster drops.

I suppose it was only a matter of time, before one of these came out.  I remember my wife complaining about the one for WoW, she always wondered why her toon would actually be naked… fixed that really quick, lol.  Anyway’s, this one is for Aion, and it’s only the Asmodian Female version. Elyos, sorry tough luck, you gotta wear clothes.

  1. Make a copy of original “Mesh_Textures_006.pak” which is located at (…aion\objects\pc\df\mesh\Mesh_Textures_006.pak) and move it somewhere else.
  2. Download new “Mesh_Textures_006.pak”
  3. Extract the archive and copy+paste the file into (…aion\objects\pc\df\mesh\)

Rifts periodically open between Asmodae and Elysea. There doesn’t appear to be any set time between the opening of a rift and sometimes, it doesn’t even open both ways. The opening of a rift will broadcast a message to everybody in the zone and everybody who enters the zone for as long as the rift stays open. You can also look up into the sky and see a blue swirling vortex indicating a rift is open somewhere in the zone.

This one was in a higher level section of Eltnen. We had our
work cut out for us reaching the lower level parts of Morheim <.>

The first zone you’ll encounter Rifts in is Eltnen (Elyos) or Morheim (Asmodians). There can only be one rift up in a zone of each type (exit and entry) and they spawn at one of several designated locations. The other two zones that can have rifts between them are Heiron (Elyos) and Beluslan (Asmodians).

One of the easiest way to see rift locations on your map is to copy and paste the following into your in-game memopad. Then you can simply click the links and they will show on the map.

It’s beneficial to have both Elyos and Asmodian sets on your map, so you can  see where your enemies are flooding in from. Note that rifts are one way for both races. You can’t go back through a rift you came in from and you can’t enter an attacker’s rift.

Rifts last for up to 26 minutes before they disperse. They also have level requirements; generally, the further the rift is from the fortress, the higher the level requirements. It also works in the opposite way, though… the closer you are to the fortress, the lower your level has to be for you to enter. This is to help prevent mass ganking by high levels xD. Each rift has a set number of people that can enter before it disperses; generally the lower level the rift, the fewer people it lets in.

Finally, be prepared when you step inside! The place will be crawling with enemy players and they would love no more than to zerg your sorry arse. Keep moving and don’t ever let yourself get pinned down in one location. Avoid the heavy questing areas (you’ll learn to recognise them). If you have 40k to spare, purchase a Group Kisk before you enter and place it somewhere safe and out of the way on the other side, to give your group a respawn should things go awry. And if you kill too many low level players, you’ll get cursed — you will be displayed on the map to all enemy players. The curse shows in the top right of your screen when you have it.

Whether you are Asmos or Elyos in Aion, you will be easily understood, with simple letter replacement.  It will probably be easier when someone makes an addon or program that can do it for us.  For now, you can make some phrases that they can understand, using the following keys.

For letters: a b c d e f g h i j k l m n o p q r s t u v w x y z

Type (for Elyos): i h k j m l o n q p s r u t w v y x a z c b e d g f
Or: O N Q P S R U T W V Y X A Z C B E D G F I H K J M L

Type (for Asmos): j k h i n o l m r s p q v w t u z b c a f g d e x y
Or: L M R S P Q V W T U Z B C A F G D E J K H I N O X Y
Have fun with this, but remember that, as more people use it, the more likely that the dev’s will be to use a new method.  So use wisely, and don’t show off.
