Do you remember those fun /dance macros from Word of Warcraft? Well they exist for marines and marauders in starcraft 2!
It’s hilarious to use right after you have beaten your opponent or conquered one of their main expansions/bases in online games. Continue reading »

http://www.symantec.com/connect/blogs/44-million-stolen-gaming-credentials-uncovered
In previous blogs, Symantec has highlighted threats that steal user data. We recently analyzed a new sample submitted to Symantec and came across a server hosting the credentials of 44 million stolen gaming accounts. What was interesting about this threat wasn’t just the sheer number of stolen accounts, but that the accounts were being validated by a Trojan distributed to compromised computers. Symantec detects this threat as Trojan.Loginck.
This particular database server we uncovered seems very much to be the heart of the operation—part of a distributed password checker aimed at Chinese gaming websites. The stolen login credentials are not just from particular online games, but also include user login accounts associated with sites that host a variety of online games. In both cases the accounts contained in the database have been obtained from other sources, most likely using malware with information-stealing capabilities, such as Infostealer.Gampass.
So, picture this: you are a bad guy and have created or purchased a botnet. You have targeted online gaming websites and now have 44 million sets of gaming credentials at your disposal.

One of the things I think which prevents most people from bothering to make movies for games, is simply the lack of knowing how to make them. This guide was written, for WoW. However some of the information can be used to also be used in other games as well. This guide is a basic intro to WoW Machinima movie making. For subscribers, we have a bonus at the end of the guide. I can’t tell you what it is, however you should be able to figure it out, by reading the hint and the guide.
The Basics of Making WoW Machinima
Written by Brandon Dennis
My attempt with this guide is to provide useful information to the aspiring machinima maker who has little to no experience at making machinima movies. I have received an uncountable number of requests from fans on YouTube, my forums, WCM and by email for advice on how to make machinima, and I will answer the most commonly asked questions in this guide. This is in no way a guide for the advanced machinimator-I will only cover the very basics here.

One of the best ways to get help is to ask the experts. Some of the best artists in the World of Warcraft machinima community frequent the following forums, and have areas designed specifically for those who have questions and need advice. If you are stuck and need help, go here and do not be afraid to ask: Continue reading »

Once in a while, you’ll be playing an older game, and be wishing that you could listen to just that small track. Or perhaps you found a really small file, with an embedded music track that when opened plays? *cough* keygen *cough* For whatever the reason, you might wish you could rip the music out of the files and play it. There are a few solutions. However there are also some alternatives as well.
The alternatives are actually easier then the solutions, so we’ll start there. There are some websites, who will provide the ripped files, or midi files provided by the program writers.
- http://www.scene.org (click files then music)
If you want to rip the music yourself… thats a bit more of a feat. Here’s a couple tools you can use.
- Resource-Grabber (http://inner-smile.com/dl_res.htm)
- EZ Extract Resource (http://www.aleadsoft.com/extrares/)
You can also follow this guide (http://www.mirsoft.info/gamemids-ripping-guide.php), but it’s for older PC users. I presume you could solder together a microphone wire with a speaker wire, and get the same effect as they suggest.
There is a better guide (http://www.keygenmusic.net/?page=howto/den02&lang=en) which will tell you how to rip the music, using one of the tools above.
If you are a YouTube addict, then you might also be interested in this (http://www.demoscene.tv/). It’s a video site which provides demos of scene releases. Scene releases are small demos or intros to games which some groups release, for recognition and promotion of the game.

If you play MMO’s, and for some reason can’t play in your region, then this is for you. This will allow you to force game traffic into your proxy that you have chosen. Additionally, it can also be used to force traffic from an application to use a proxy. However this was specifically intended to be used by gamers. Imagine playing four instances on all different IPs.
Who uses this? Players who are banned by IP from playing, such as someone in China playing on WoW US servers. Players who wish to bot, without worry of same IP bans. Game hackers, who wish their regular account to be safe. Continue reading »

I have always taken this for granted, but the proliferation of phishing emails, makes me wonder who knows how to tell a phishing email, from a legit one?
The first step to determine a phishing email is a proactive one. We start by creating a new email, and only using this email for the game we play. For example, for general contacts, I use one email, for PayPal, I use another, and for each game I play, I use yet another. What this does, is allows me to know, that when an email doesn’t come to that game email I specifically set up, then it’s likely a phishing attack.
Next, we look at the headers. The headers of an email, will tell where the email came from, but it’s not a fool proof way to verify the information. There are some email programs out there, that will allow you to edit the headers. For example, I once sent an email from BigBird@SesameStreet.com, I then modified the headers how I wanted, and the email became untraceable. An additional method that spoofers will do, is to bounce an email off an official server, so that the headers to look legit. Continue reading »

Occasionally, you will need to be able to disconnect your self, in order to explore places. It usually allows you to move past something like an invisible wall, or a door way. It can also be used for creating bugs, and other wayward exploits. There are a few ways to do this. For WoW users, we have a macro to do it in game. For others, there is a tool as well as a simple thing to do for non-dialup users.

Want another great reason to get an Android over an iPhone? How about if you can play WoW (or any other game) on it?
Depending on which Android based phone you have, it may alter how well you can play WoW. On the Droid, I can essentially utilize it for checking up on friends via whispers, et cetera. Other phones may also allow you to play a bit in some battles, just not large ones or pvp, as likely the battles will be to fast for you. Here’s how to run WoW on your Android…

A while ago, I found this game, called WoW Connect. Unfortunately, there is no save feature, so if you come back to it later, you will have to start from level 1 again. However, this is a fun strategy game. This is not so much of a WoW game, other then it uses WoW icons. If it had other icons it would be any other game. I liken it to a mah-jongg solitaire game then anything else. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.
The file is a SWF file, you should be able to save it to your desktop and then open with either Media Player Classic or Internet Explorer.
