While the Terrans may not have the technological superiority of the Protoss or the biological resources of the Zerg race, they do have a fairly well balanced tech tree, allowing them to get vital units produced at the right time. Key to exploiting the available resources on a multiplayer map as Terran in Starcraft 2 is using the mobility and cargo capacity of your central Command buildings to ferry worker SCVs quickly to the scene and get harvesting. This guide will help you develop a healthy and balanced network of production facilities, bases and research centers to create the perfect build order for your Terran army, with a comprehensive reference for every Terran building units vital stats, Abilities, Upgrades and Researches.

In Allods Online, Heroics is a term used to basically signify that all the instances in the game that you encountered on your way to level 40 will have to be redone but harder. If you need help in understanding how to play Heroics or what the roles are of each class then keep reading this Allods Online Heroics guide to learn all the essentials. Continue reading »

This Evony guide is for people just starting out in playing the game, or thinking about joining. In the past Evony has had a reputation for being dominated by bullys and being hard to get to understand, but both of these perceptions are incorrect.  In order to set a few things right this article aims to give beginners some basic hints and tips to get them started in this hugely popular real time strategy war game.

Beginners Get 7 days of Protection

When you start playing Evony for the first time a new player cannot be attacked by anyone for a period of seven days.  Of course if you attack someone during this time then beginners protection will be removed, but most players use their first week to build up a reasonable city and army before they go off adventuring. Apart from attacking another player, the only other thing you need to be aware of is that if you build your town hall to level 5 this automatically removes beginner’s protection. Use your first week wisely by building up your army, city buildings and production ability as far as you can. Continue reading »

Here’s a very basic build order, that many people do on all levels. This build order gives players, experts and beginners alike. The ability to get a solid economy going and the ability to deflect any type of “early game cheese”, such as a zealot or zergling rush.

You can do this build order on your next time playing, it’s not that complex to do and you can start now. You want to make sure that your command center is rallied to your minerals, and that there is no wait time when it comes to your rally point. Continue reading »

All that you ever wanted to know about stacking penalties, but never dared to ask.

As you might have noticed, some modules will say ‘Penalty: Using more than one type of this module or similar modules that affect the same attribute on the ship will be penalized’. You’ll see this on several modules, from sensor boosters to tracking computers and from inertia stabilizers to armor hardeners. What does that sentence mean? It means that for every module you add above the first, the effect on the attribute is diminished. A second sensor booster won’t add the same bonus as the first. For some time people have been looking to find out exactly how the stacking penalty works. There always has been a deviation from the values you find in the game. That is, until now. I was able to derive the stacking penalty formula that fits ‘exactly’. Continue reading »

The Raganarok, the Erebus, the Leviathan, and the Avatar can all wield Doomsday devices. A pilot with the right skills can fly these ships and unleash havoc upon the foes of the player’s alliance

What Makes the Titans Unique

Capital ships dwarf all other ships in Eve Online. Even among a class of ships noted for its large size, the Titans stand out among all the others. Each of the four player character races has its own Titan class ship.

Titans are the class capable of supporting a class of weapons called Doomsday Devices. (No other class of ship has the necessary hard points.) The Eve Online page of the Strategy games wiki says that these weapons start at a base of 37,500 damage before any modifiers are added. CCP added the ultimate ship weapon in the Dominion Expansion. Currently, Terrans fare poorly against Protoss opponents. The Zealot, Sentry and Stalker combination almost always beats the standard Starcraft 2 Terran strategy of a Marine, Marauder and Dropship combination. The following Starcraft 2 strategy guide will demonstrate how to hold your own and win against Protoss as Terrans. This Starcraft 2 strategy utilizes a combination of Siege Tanks, Ghosts, and Marines (for anti-aircraft support) as the main components of your army. The EMP ability of Ghosts can drain the shields of Protoss units. Due to this ability, Ghosts are becoming increasingly popular in Starcraft 2 strategies. Continue reading »

An Eve Online pilot learns his skills in real time. Even though he can pay to train multiple skills at the same time, he must learn each skill individually. Focussing on the learning skills first reduces the time it takes for a player to learn important kills later

How Learning Eve Skills Works

Skills do not work the same way in Eve Online as they do in other games. Players learn the necessary skills from a trainer at a starbase. They do not spend the time grinding the skill and finding the components. Instead, each skill has a learning time associated with it. You will learn a skill in the amount of time the listing says it will take.

The real time learning frees players up for playing the more enjoyable portions of the game, or at least through getting through the portion of the game referred to as “fighting rats” more quickly. (This refers to fighting the pirate ships in the beginning areas of the game.) It takes real world time to learn skills in Eve Online. Continue reading »
