Great news has come down the pipes!  News we have been waiting for for a long time has finally arrived that Space is Confirmed to be in development for Star Wars The Old Republic.  Once again Sean Dahlberg gets to bust the news wide open in his thread here from the official forums:

http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?p=3645409#edit3645409

First, thank you to all of you who participated in our Comic-Con Reveal mission!  While we didn’t quite make the numbers, we definitely saw how excited the community is about this and how everyone came together. After all of that, there’s no way we could hold back with our special reveal at Comic-Con!

If you’ve been following the news coming out of the Star Wars  The Old Republic panel at Comic-Con International, you’ve heard the announcement that we will indeed have Space Combat as part of the TOR experience! But what does that mean?  Space combat is an alternative gameplay experience to the primary game of storytelling, questing, and ground-based combat. In space combat, you fly your personal ship to various “hot spots” on your galaxy map. From there, you will blast your way through asteroid fields, enemy fighters, frigates, destroyers, and a variety of other obstacles that will evoke memories of some of the great  Star Wars  space battles.

To learn more, pick up the October 2010 edition of  PC Gamer which hits newsstands starting August 17th for screenshots and an exclusive interview or check back with us in the weeks to come.

This is outstanding news for all of us who enjoy space combat and hopefully things like asteroid harvesting and so on.  This is one of the things that I had told myself I would enjoy the game much more so if it were in place.  Slowly my hopes are being realized…. :)

These days, so few people craft. They would rather sit around, buying potions and food from others.  Those who do craft, rarely want to go out and get their own mats.  This is where this simple guide will accelerate you into the world of being rich.

At a low level you can obtain gathering skills from an in game npc (hunter). In the human world it is easy to kill and harvest meat and horns from the level 5 deer. You can either sell these items for a good price, or you can develop your crafting skills and make sugary sweet potatoes (a defense buff potion). These items easily sell and are a great way to get ahead with gold.

You will need a pot to use alchemy, a pan to use cooking, and a knife to harvest.

Tip: Find regular buyers for crafting mats, this will keep you always healthy with a buyer and allow you to quickly get more gold.

Pilgrim’s Bounty Event (quick & dirty info)

by N00bking
I thought I might share this. It’s just a fast guide to get a feel for the new event coming up. All my info is by searching Wowhead. I usually make myself quick guides before an event just so I can compile what I want and print it out to have beside me when I need it. I play Horde so sorry there’s no Alliance reference here.
Please keep in mind, that since this is Horde only, most of the information will translate to Alliance, just switching where to get the recipes and turn them in.

NOTES:
Bountiful Feast
Combine Spice Bread Stuffing, Candied Sweet Potato, Cranberry Chutney, Pumpkin Pie and a Slow-Roasted Turkey to create a Bountiful Feast. Delicious!

The minimum cooking levels of each of the foods:
Spice Bread Stuffing – min. cooking lvl 90
Pumpkin Pie – min. cooking lvl 150
Cranberry Chutney – min. cooking lvl 210
Candied Sweet Potato – min. cooking lvl 270
Slow-Roasted Turkey – min. cooking lvl 330

(modifier) Stat. Increases of each Pilgrim’s Bounty Dish provides:
Candied Sweet Potato: haste rating + Stamina
Cranberry Chutney: spell power + Stamina
Pumpkin Pie: Spirit + Stamina
Slow-Roasted Turkey: attack power + Stamina
Spice Bread Stuffing: hit rating + Stamina

These will be the only recipes currently in game that use a heal % modifier (i.e. Restores 4% of your health and mana every sec for 30 sec) instead of a max heal amount like most other foods. So I would recommend stocking up on the special holiday regents if you want to cook more after the event ends.
