Create a knight (most defense/HP) character, go outside the town and kill greem & yellow worms.
When you are level seven and you have 500 + cash sell all your useless drops to merchant. Now go to the town and buy the skill Ransacking, go to the merchant and buy a knife and some potions as well.

Each year, there are some things which we can use during events to make some extra gold. Here’s a few that I have used and do use during the Winter Veil event.

If you smelt your copper and tin, even if you buy it off the AH, or farm it yourself, bronze bards are going for about 2x-3x the cost of the ore for copper and tin. This is a great little money making tip, that can help any low level toon, make some east gold. On my server (Dentarg-US-Horde) this means that the cost to produce a bar is 1 gold, and the price to sell each bar is about 3 gold. Likely this will change, when Cataclysm is released, but for now, this is a GREAT WoW gold making tip.
