To level your Weaponsmithing skill, you need to complete ‘work orders’ that are given by the Weaponsmithing expert NPC. The Elyos Weaponsmithing expert is Anteros, who can be found at the Artisans’ Hall in Sanctum.

To make crafting easier, position yourself between the nearest Weaponsmithing workstation and Anteros so that you can quickly turn in your work orders.

1.Right click on Anteros and click on ‘Craft Request’ to accept the Steel Pile work order.
2.Right-click the Weaponsmithing workstation to bring up the craft window. Select Weaponsmithing and click on the Craft: Steel Pile recipe.
3.If you already have the Materials, indicate the correct amount of items to craft according to the work order and click on ‘craft’.
Note: There is a chance that your craft will fail so make sure you have more than enough materials to craft.
4.Go back to Anteros to turn in your work order and receive skill points.

At 1P, you receive 1 skill point for every completed work order. Repeat this work order until you get 10 skill points. Your next work order will be for 10P and will require relatively more materials to craft, but will give you more skill points. As you increase your skill, the work orders increase in amount and difficulty of obtaining items.

The success and failure of your crafting are dependent on your skill level.

You can purchase more recipes and supplies from the merchant in your race’s crafting area. As you increase your Weaponsmithing skill level, some recipes can be obtained from quests or monster drops.

Get off Poeta ASAP. Then talk to the Teleporter in Sanctum – he has a repeatable quest that can be repeated up to 100 times per character.  This quest rewards 100 EXP and 500 Kinah – EACH, and only takes about 2-3 minutes to complete each time.  We’ll assume 3 minutes even though thats really a high amount of time.  By the time you have done this a few times, it should take you 2 minutes each run.

Lets do the math:

3 Minutes x 100 Quests = 300 Minutes or 5 Hours

500 Kinah x 100 Quests = 50,000 Kinah

Thats 50,000 Kinah in less than 5 hours!!!

The next repeatable quest is right outside of Verteron Citadel — The Tog Daeva who wonders around the town. He too has 100 Repeatable quests with the same rewards.

This means you can make an easy 100,000 Kinah in about a day!!!

I came across information that the server logs how many times you are /autoreporthunting reported. Basically you can figure out by typing ‘/restriction’ in game.

Once you do this you will have a dialog in chat that says, “Status:_____”

From what I’ve gathered there is 4 stages, the first which is normal.

Second which I am not sure the name, comes after you get reported 3 times or around there, not sure on specifics this results in XP, Abyss Points, mining success rate and probability of obtaining gold -> 30% reduction

3rd is 50% reduction, and you will not get items

4th is a 100% reduction, and you will not get items.

Whenever I pick up a crafting profession in an mmorpg, I try to find a way to make a few extra gold to fund its progression.  I found a cheap way to make gold with Leatherworking, Jewelycrafting in WoW. There’s always a way, and I’ve found mine in Aion Online.  Please note that this method takes quite a bit of time so I only recommend this to be used when you have quite a bit of time off (ie before you go to bed/school/work etc).  Anyways here’s my first ever Aion Guide on making Aion Kinah/Gold with Tailoring.

Its really the same concept as the Leatherworking tip I posted a few years back for World of Warcraft.  Its a common sense know how much you can sell your product for, and know how much it costs to create the product.  Also include how much time it takes for you to create it to see if its worthwhile. It can get annoying typing out the full name of an item in the ‘Buy’ tab, especially when the names are all case-senstitive and can be quite long. Here are two quick tips to speed up the process.

a) If you have an item in your inventory and want to do a quick ‘Buy’ search to see how much it is selling for, simply ALT + Left Click the item in your inventory and the search bar will be auto-filled with the complete item name.

b) If you don’t happen to have an item in your inventory but know its name, you can simply enter the first letter of each word (capitalized) in the search box. For example, you can search ‘T S L J’ instead of Thin Soft Leather Jerkin. Some item names share the same initials, so you can narrow the search by adding a second letter in lower-case. For example, ‘M W F’ will result in Major Weapon Flux and Minor Weapon Flux. If you only want Major Weapon Flux, search for ‘Ma W F.’

Get with the lingo

InventoryWhile most of the jargon employed by Aion is pretty self-explanatory, it does take some getting used to, especially if you’ve just come from a different MMO. Here, you carry your items with you in a ‘cube,’ and the overflow can be banked in your ‘warehouse.’ You can list goods for sale with a ‘broker,’ where you can also bid on items of your own for purchase. One of the more original features of inter-player trade in Aion is the use of ‘private stores,’ in which players can create a list of goods and prices, add a catchy one-liner advertisement, and then go AFK. Other players are able to run up and access your private store and make purchases, all without your further involvement.
While the prons and cons of this system differ based on who you ask, the most common comparison is with using World of Warcraft’s Trade Chat Channel to advertise and connect buyers with sellers. Private stores, by contrast, do not include such features as haggling or off-topic spam. Because it’s more difficult to comparison-shop with private stores, you may be able to get away with charging slightly higher-than-average prices on some goods.

You gotta have pockets

Loot everythingExpanding your cube space should be your first major purchase in Aion. Every class is capable of leveling easily with the gear and weapons collected along the way through quest rewards. Even though you may get a lucky drop that is a perfect upgrade for your class, you will probably reap bigger rewards in the long run by selling it to another, less savvy player.
You can also expand your warehouse space, and don’t forget about utilizing the account section of the warehouse, either. Consider also the use of mules and bank alts. While burning a toon up to level 10 in order to reach the capital city may not sound like an efficient use of your time, it will really pay off once you start to run out of space. Mailing items to alts can start to get expensive, but by using the account section of your warehouse you can easily transfer goods and materials to a broker mule or dedicated private store alt. RMT = Real Money Transaction

There is a recent scam going around that is making sites that don’t trade the gold themselves, more vulnerable to scammers.  On a wholesale side of things, most gold (RMT) sites, will place a order for gold, a person will then offer to fulfill the order for whatever the rate the gold company sets and to take a screenshot to prove the gold was traded.

Now the scam is simple, when they trade you the gold, they already took a screenshot.  What the scammers will do is tell you they made a mistake, and need the gold back, so they can take a screenshot.  The scam is simply to get the gold back, then logout.  They have proof they delivered it, and as a bonus, they also have the gold.

How do you protect yourself from this?

  1. Don’t trade the gold back.
  2. Take your own screenshots – especially of chat logs.
  3. Order gold from companies who use proxy accounts, to make sure your gold and trading experience are safe.

While I would like to claim that Ubergold.com is the only company who does this, I can’t say that honestly.  I know of at least 3 other sites that also do this, and it costs us all more to do it, thus the higher rates of gold.
