Lower Guk Levels 30 – 46

There are many entrances from Upper Guk to Lower Guk, any of the ways you’ll generally be fighting the same mobs. My recommendation is to enter and start to clear your way through. (Make sure what you’re killing is undead, its not too hard to tell them apart, the undead frogs look, well, dead!) A good method that I use is keep clearing through until it starts to get to hard, then clear back a good distance. After you do that clear back to where it was hard and it should be easy. Estate of Unrest 15 – 30
Once you enter Unrest follow the tunnel till you come out and have a large mansion in front of you. You can kill stuff around the mansion until about level 17. “The Stuff” includes; Death Beetles, Jack o’ lanterns, Zombies and Skeletons.

In Final Fantasy XI (FFXI), Boneworkers are able to create armor, weapons, ammunition, and jewelry through combining different materials (mostly the bones and exoskeletons of various creatures) and crystals.
A lot of the supplies you need for Bonecrafting can be purchased from guild merchant or from other players for FFXI Gil, so you might want to buy FFXI Gil to ensure that you have enough funds for your crafting materials.
Bonecrafting Ranks and Tests
To become a Boneworker, go to the upper level of the primary Boneworker’s Guild in Windurst Woods (H-13) and speak to Guildmaster Peshi Yohnts. You will then become a Boneworker with the rank Amateur.
To advance your rank as a Boneworker, you have to speak to Peshi Yohnts and complete the tests she gives you. These tests will require you to craft specific items.
As with all the crafts, there are 9 ranks in Bonecrafting. Below is a table listing the ranks, what skill level you need to be at to take your next test, and what item you need to craft (ingredients for the items can be found in the Recipes section of this guide). Continue reading »

Kurn’s Tower 10 – 15
Once you’re in PoK head to the Cabilis stone which is on the “Evil” side. The stone will take you to the Field of Bone. From the Field of Bone head northeast to Kurn’s Tower.

Once you’re inside Kurn’s Tower you can start killing the undead. Stay near the zoneline, this is where you will be the most safe for the next few levels. All you really need to keep in mind for this level is stay away from the Burynai Sapper. Continue reading »

The Mines of Glooming Deep
When you first start out you’ll be standing in front of Arais who is trapped with you in a jail cell. The very first thing you will want to do here is hail him. In the upper left hand corner of your screen you’ll see directions, for this part, telling you what to do. Since you’re already being walked through what to do, come back to my guide when you’re done this part.
When you finish the first part by giving Arias the key you will be ported to The Mines of Glooming Deep. Once you’re in the Mines of Glooming Deep you will want to hail Arias to continue your quest. After you hail him you will need to head over to Absor. Look at my picture below if to see where he is in comparison to Arias.

Zygor claimed that they were doing something for their members, which was to release their guide in either the Tourguide or Zygor format. Really, I think it was cutting the head off the snake, which is to say that they didn’t want anyone else to have an ingame interactive leveling guide. For the most part, thats what it appears that they have done, as now other companies which sell leveling guides, based on tourguide can’t do it anymore. This affects Joana, Spugnort, Brian Kopp (which is now owned by Spugnort), Dugi, and some others. Continue reading »

I recently decided to try the 10 day trial of Fallen Earth. I had been in the beta, and was unimpressed. In fact, there wasn’t much change to my impressions. Though I did appreciate the GM’s being on constantly to help answer questions or moderate the chat.
To level the fastest in Fallen Earth, I found that doing quests is not fast. Part of the reason it’s not fast, is that the game world is so large, and running, even on horseback, takes a while to get to and from each quest area. The fastest way to level, is in fact to simply find a good spot with fast respawns, and to grind level. I found that melee fighters are the best, as they don’t have to worry about running out of ammo and crafting.
I do recommend having First Aid, and making bandages. Fight humanoids and zombies for their cloth drops, and while fighting, have a continuous supply of bandages being made. In a lull you can complete the bandages.
The best spots that I personally found were inside the nearby mines/dungeons.
Tip: You should always do the starter quests for new alts, to get your free mount.

When we’re talking about leveling guides, a lot of them, are very well written, where they will tell you to go here, do that, kill this, go here, turn in quest, etc. Those guides are great, and there are a lot great guides for that. FTW Guides, Joana’s, Kozen’s, Zygor, Spugnort’s, Goblin’s etc. However this little tip is not about the good guides, but rather about the bad guides. These kind of guides, read more like an unofficial manual, which tell you what characters can do, they tell you to use the Bazaar, Auction House, Marketplace, Trading Post, and to sell recipes to make money. For leveling, they will give you the basics, you could pick up out of the manual.
So here’s my tip. If you ever want to pick up some leveling or class guides, for any game – DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT buy from Killer Guides nor from Prima guides. These are by far, the worst guides, you can ever waste your money on. You will end up spending countless amounts of money thinking you will be getting a guide to help you play your class better, to level quicker, or even to make more money, then the other guy that didn’t read the guide… It’s a fat lie, and the guides are only there to take your money, to make the guide sellers rich, not you.
But wait, there’s more. There’s another gold guide out there, that likes to regurgitate the same thing, across games as well. This guide is called gold-secrets. The author who made it, started with World of Warcraft, then made one for Age of Conan, and later Warhammer Online. I do not know if the author made any for any of the new games out, like Champions Online or Aion, or ??? However, the one thing I do know is the way you can always tell when he writes a crappy guide, or that the guide is his. He always writes on his pitch page “Gold Sellers Hate Me!“ What makes this guide so bad, is that he does all the basic things and offers generalized tips like buy low, sell high… or use the auction house to sell, use an auction addon, et cetera. What made this guide stand out? When he released his Age of Conan guide, he used a simple word replacement from World of Warcraft to Age of Conan. He did forget to change Auction House to Trading Post as well.
So here it is in summary.
- Do not buy Killer Guides
- Do not buy Prima Guides
- Do not buy Gold-Secrets, or anytime where the pitch page says “Gold Sellers Hate Me!“
And for the record, I am a gold seller, and I do hate him… for pitching crap to consumers.

This guide was originally posted at LotroLife and written by Elowyn
We’ve all wondered where do we go next. So here’s a helpful guide on where to go, along with the locations of each of these areas.
Level 1 – 13 Starting Region:
- Elves: Cellondim/Duillond/Gondoman
- Dwarves: Thorin’s Gate/Nogland/Gondoman
- Hobbits: Michel Delving/Hobbiton/Overhill/Brokenborings
- Humans: Archet/Combe/Staddle
Level 13 – 15:
My recommendation is to travel to one of the 10 – 13 level cities and complete quests there. They will be Blue and Green, easy to complete, and will get you levels rather quick.
Elves/Dwarves: Swift travel to Bree and complete quests in Staddle/Combe
Humans/Hobbits: Swift travel to Cellondim and complete quests in Duillond/Gondoman
Level 15 – 17:
At this point I would head to Breeland. Find quests within Bree and at Adso’s Camp (29S, 56.8W), Buckland (33.3S, 62.4W), and Falco’s Folly (26S, 53.9W). You should also be able to work through Book 1 very easily.
Click here for a Book One Walkthrough.
Adso’s Camp will have you running around the Southern Bree-fields. Buckland will send you into the Old Forest. This can be tough, but there are some great maps and resources available here and here. Falco’s Folly will begin sending you into the North Bree-fields for a few quests.
Level 17 – 20:
Now you have two options to choose from. You can solo quests from the Forsaken Inn located in the Lone-lands. Or you can begin the series of quests in the Barrow-downs located in Breeland. The first few quests in the Barrow-downs are solo’s, but they quickly turn into quests that you will need to complete with fellowships. All of these quests will eventually end with a series of instanced quests in the games first major instance, The Greater Barrows. This instance is designed for level 21 – 25 in my opinion.
You should also be able to complete Book 1 during these levels, more help with Lone-Lands Quests you can find in Lone-Lands Guide.
Level 21 – 25:
Now to begin Book 2. Click here for a Book 2 Walkthrough. You should also begin trying to get into a Greater Barrows run. There are 5 quests here to complete. Each of these will net you some good gear as well as great experience.
You can also make your way to Ost Guruth in the Lonelands to continue through your Lonelands quests. Ost Guruth is located at 31.3S, 29.6W. If you work through some of the Fellowship quests during these levels you should easily hit 25 without having to travel to Trestlebridge. But if you are running a bit low you can begin a few quests at Trestlebridge in the Northdowns (head north out of Bree following the road).
Level 25 – 30:
At this point the Northdowns will be your primary home for awhile. You can complete quests in Trestlebridge, Amon Raith (12.6S, 52.8W), Meluinin (13.7S, 44.9W), Othrikar (6.9S, 44.9W) and Esteldin (9.7S, 42.1W). The Northdowns is full of quests and you shouldn’t have a tough time completing most of them.
You should also complete Book 2 during your last few levels back in the Lonelands. When you complete this book a series of quests in the region of Agamaur will open up (29.7S, 27.3W). These quests lead to the instance of Garth Argawen, the second major instance for the game. There are a total of 9 quests to complete inside of this instance. I would begin these quests around level 32. It’s tough inside of there, but there is great loot and experience to be made their.
You can begin Book 3 in the Northdowns during this time as well.
Click here for a Book 3 Walkthrough.
Level 31 – 35:
Now you have the chance to travel to Esteldim located North of the Shire and West of Northdowns. You can begin quests in Oatbarton (23.4S, 67.4W). These quests will lead you up to Tinnundur (12.2S, 67.4W). You will also still be able to work through quests in Esteldim (which sends you primarily to Dol Dinen in Fellowship quests). You can also begin running Garth Argwen back in the Lonelands if you like.
During this time I would finish Book 3 as well. Don’t forget to begin saving you money as well because at 35 you will be able to get your very own mount.
Click here for the guide “Your Very Own Mount“.
At 34 you can also begin to make your way into the Trollshaws. Head to Ost Guruth in Lonelands and follow the road East across The Last Bridge. You can stop by a camp at 34S, 20.2W for a few easy quests or make your way to Thorenhad at 31.7S, 15W for a few quests. Eventually continue along the road and make your way to Rivendell (the most beautiful city in the game)! This trek to Rivendell can be tough, but it is possible. You can grind a bit on the easier mobs near the Last Bridge if you are just looking for experience.
Level 35 – 40:
This was actually one of the toughest grinds for me, but with the release of Evendim it has become amazingly easier! You can finish up your quests at Tinnundur in Evendim and make your way north to Ost Forod for a few more quests. Complete your quests in Esteldim (some lead you into the Ram Duath in south Angmar. The Trollshaws will have some quests in Thorenhad and Rivendell for you as well. You can also begin on Book 4.
At around 38 you can also begin to get a group for the next major instance, Fornost, located north of Amon Raith in Northdowns. This is a tough instance, but yet again the loot and experience make it worthwhile. I believe that there are 7 quests inside this instance.
If you need to grind some experience you can always spend some time just outside of Rivendell grinding on the easier mobs for decent, albeit not great, experience.
Level 40 – 50:
At this point you’ve several options. Angmar, the Misty Mountains, Goblin Town and Forochel. Angmar has quests in Lehma-Koti (3S, 39.1W), Auguhair (3N, 39.5W), and South Angmar . Misty Mountain quests are mostly found in Rivendell or Gloin’s Camp (24.9S, 3.8W). You should visit Goblin town at 43-44, finish book V and start book VI in Misty Mountain and Angmar and don’t forget Forochel around 45-50 level. Of course ability to solo in areas will depend on class. Books VII – XI are waiting for you and also Goblin Town, and Rift.
You can also travel to the Ettenmores to take part in PvMP as part of the Free Peoples.
There are a number of instances that are available as well.
Level 48 – 53:
The quests in Eregion are around 48-53.
Level 53 – 60:
The quests in Moria.
Level 57 – 60:
The quests in Nimrodel.
Read more details about regions and quests for 40th-60th level
There are always extra places and other options that become available to you as you make your way through Eriador. Good luck on your adventures as you rise to the top to reclaim Middle Earth for the Free Peoples.

Folks, if you don’t have cooking on any of your characters, but really wished that you had taken it, for any reason, then the Pilgrim’s Bounty (H)(A), is the time to learn them. I was able to level my cooking all the way to 355. Though the final recipe will turn green, and make it difficult to get past 350.
Start at the Undercity or Stormwind
- Purchase Bountiful Cookbook from the Pilgrim vendor for 1 silver
- Learn the Spice Bread recipe from the trainer if you don’t have it already
- Make 60x Spice Bread to reach 40 Cooking and set up the next step
- Make 60x Spice Bread Stuffing to reach 100 Cooking (train @ 75)
- Make 60x Pumpkin Pie to reach 160 Cooking (train @ 150)
- Travel to Orgrimmar or Ironforge for Tangy Cranberries
- Make 60x Cranberry Chutney to reach 220 Cooking
- Travel to Mulgore or Darnassus for Sweet Potatoes
- Make 60x Candied Sweet Potato to reach 280 Cooking (train @ 225)
- Return to Undercity or Stormwind
- Kill 20 Wild Turkeys in Tirisfal/Elwynn Forest
- Make 20x Slow Roasted Turkey to reach 300 Cooking
There are Cooking trainers located right at the Pilgrim camps who will teach you each level of Cooking skill you need to reach 300. The only reason you’ll have to travel is to collect the different “local” produce items for the recipes. You may also need to overstock a bit on each step. Once a recipe is yellow it isn’t quite as reliable for skill points. I averaged about 62 items per recipe, so bear that in mind when you’re purchasing ingredients from the vendor. Most of the city camps have barrels behind the vendor that act as a secondary vendor. If your having trouble with objects being “busy”, try the barrels!
To continue beyond 300 you’ll have to go to Outland or Northrend to visit expansion trainers. Expect to put in another 30 minutes or so to get from 300 to 350 in Cooking. Most of that will be traveling and killing more turkeys. You’ll probably want to collect about 60 additional wild turkey corpses. Don’t forget to stop by the Bounty camp in Stormwind/Undercity and stock up on herbs and honey before you hearth back to Shattrath/Dalaran.
- Kill 60x MORE wild turkeys in Tirisfall/Elywynn Forest
- Purchase 120 Honey pots and 60 Autumnal Herbs from the Bounty vendor.
- Travel to Outland/Northrend to train Master Cooking
- Make 60x Slow-Roasted Turkeys to reach 350 Cooking
This takes about 90 minutes to complete, including all the travel and turkey slaughter. The quests for this event will grant experience, so take advantage if you’re still leveling alts. All of these quests are quite easy, most of the work is traveling between major cities. At level 80, the quest rewards will pay for your skill learning.
Tip: These new recipes DO count for our Cooking achievements. You get five new recipes to add to your recipe tally. Make sure you pick those up if you’re still working on Chef de Cuisine or one of the lesser versions.
Tip: Don’t worry, if you make enough that a skill goes gray. You will be able to use the excess foods for the quests. Alternatively you can sell them on the Trade Channel. The AH will not accept these items however.
Tip: If you are doing the quests pickup at least 100 of each item, to do the quests easier. You will want to get the pumpkins, sweet potatoes, and cranberries for this.

This is best done with an AOE/caster class. In FOTD, there is the alpha wolf boss where there is a large rock you can get up onto above him. Climb up onto that rock.
Hit the boss with a spell. You don’t want to kill him. Everytime you hit him, he spawns several adds… keep hitting him until you have as many adds as you’d like to kill with aoe!
Because neither the adds nor the boss can get to you, the adds just keep spawning w/o attacking. It still works.
You can level up from lvl 40 to around lvl 50 using this method overnight.
