It’s happened, you know you can’t beat the hordes of enemies approaching. The best thing you can do is hide your resources, but you just don’t the ability to hide it all. You know your wall defenses will be wiped, you know your town will be looted. You know you will lose all your defenses inside your city. What do you do?
First, close your gates. Open the gates when you are faced with an enemy you know you can beat with your ground troops, like 20k cavalry. Close them afterwards. Yes, it will piss them off more, but it’s something we need to do.
Next, use all your resources to build more troops. You can make them quickly in waves or do one lump sum. Don’t bother with wall defenses, the enemy will wipe those easily anyways, and we have no control over when to use them.
If you are unbalanced, more wood then iron, or don’t have the population to build more troops, sell. Sell everything you have to get gold. Take the gold (it’s instantaneous delivery), and buy stone. Buy all the stone you can, at whatever the cost. What do you do with all the stone? You wait.
Let your city be looted (and pick your attacks with the gates). It won’t be long before the enemy gets tired of picking up stone, and only stone. Sure they can convert the stone to gold, but the sell and buy prices will be different. Just remember to periodically raise your loyalty, so the enemy can’t get your city (not a problem if it’s your only city) and of your heroes. Don’t forget to heal your troops as well. Out of money to heal them? Sell a little stone.
And the most important information… ask your alliance for reinforcements. Even 5k scouts will help, but of course 200k, would help a lot more. You will need to allow your embassy to allow alliance troops to be garrisoned within your city. The size of your embassy determines the amount of armies that can be housed. More is better. If you have 4, then you can have 400,000 troops. For defense, we want archers, swordsmen, and scouts.

On most servers Iron and Wood cost more then any other resource. Occasionally, food is a scarce resource, usually on older servers – that’s just supply and demand however, since NPC farming should get you enough food to last a while. I have decided I want to build a resource city. I am going to make it produce both wood and iron, and to allow the storage in warehouses, but to not produce armies. If armies are needed, they will be housed there from other cities. The idea is to only make it a resources producing town, good for alliances and peeps who want to have their own “farm town”.
Primarily it will be Lumbermills and Ironmines, with 1 each of Farm and Quarry. I make those, simply for the bonuses. Instead of building a ton of barracks, I will build 1, with a ton of Warehouses. This will allow me again to gain the bonus. The barracks will be destroyed after all the bonuses are gained.
We will do away with wall defenses, and instead leave the gates open and a maximum sized embassy (with armies housed within). When we need resources we will simply close the gates, kick the city from the alliance, have our own armies attack, and shift the resources around in the warehouses to make them available for the attacking army. Once the “raid” is complete, we open the gates again, re-work the warehouse percentages, and invite back to the alliance.
Tip 1: For some unknown reason, most people grab level 10 Lakes. In most cases since food is cheaper on most servers, it’s better to grab Hills and Forests.
Tip 2: If you or your alliance – or even group of alliances are being pounded by the top few alliances, band together, and stop selling food. With the lack of food, or even higher food rates, then the enemies who have been attacking you, can starve and lose their armies.

Alquima Labs is very commonly know as labs, or the Skill Book instance. Labs is the instance on the Asmodian Side that drops their level 42 skill books. In order to gain access to Alquima you will need to complete the “A Missing Father” Campaign quest. This quest is quite a pain in the ass but it gives you access to this instance which chances are you will need to do.
After you’ve completed the Missing Father Quest getting to Alquima Labs can be quite an accomplishment in its own. In order to get here you will need to run northeast from Chaos Brambles. Take a look at my map below to get an idea.

This is a continuation of the Hiding Resources tips, I wrote before. It’s simply a way I figured out that can make your enemy not be able to get all your resources in one go. Basically what you do, is convert everything to gold. Yes, you will lose some to the marketplace anyways, but that’s not a big deal. When the enemy attacks, they will attempt to cart away everything you have. Since it’s likely you already used my resource hiding tips, this will allow you to make it much harder on your enemy. Suddenly, instead of 1 million wood, you might have 17 million gold. Which means they would need to cart away repeatedly. If they are far away, this gives you the time and option to then convert left over resources after the attack and spend them on building back troops, defenses, or buildings.
[Revision] buy stone instead. Instead of 1 million wood, it could become 90 million stone (price dependent on server), which is even worse for them then gold

Go to Naphui Quarter and put hard mode on.
Equip the following;
Build: Glyph of Swiftness, Deadly Paradox, Shadow Form, Way of the Lotus, Golden Lotus Strike, Fox Fangs, Death Blossom, Radiation Field (Asuran skill)
Weapons: Perma Staff and Zealous Daggers of enchanting
Attributes: 16 Shadow Arts, 12 Dagger Master, 3 Critical Strikes
Enter mission, go to the light orb to the right of the bell, up the ramp. Make sure you run away from combat in a safe area.
You can’t kill a star light and they can’t kill you so don’t bother. Your goal is to kill Star Blades and Star Sentinels. You can kill these guys so long as there are 2 Star Lights in the group (not just 1).
If you only want to get the celestial weapons then run around until you see a celestial weapon on one of the birds, it will drop roughly 85% of the time. If you want feathers, just kill as many birds as you can.
When using the attack skills, don’t target a Sentinel because they block with lightning reflex, so target a Blade and your area effects will kill the sentinel, if you time it right.
Be careful about your energy and make sure to have 30 energy when you need to Renew Shadow Form. Skills 4-8 note what they do and know how to maintain the energy with them.
A successful run with picking and choosing the right places takes about 15-20 minutes (because you won’t be able to kill all groups with too many lights) and in the 15-20 you usually get 3-4 gold and 120 feathers.
The profit per hour averages to 16k and 10 gold (the gold could be worth a lot if you’re lucky).
Good Luck, and be sure to tell us how you did.

This ’short’ and sweet guide will point you in the right direction, if you like your red and green bars to have very high values! Anyone can do this, it does, in places, require specialist/rare stuff that you all might not have… but you can still achieve high values without this!
I have done the guide in 4 steps, with certain buffs in each step. The reason for this is for simplicity, and it goes from long duration buffs… to short duration buffs.
The numbers in blue are how much health you are getting from each buff.

For Step One, you will need
- +35×2 Armour, with constitution/stamina.
- All exotic slots must have +35 cons/stam aswell. The total amount of socketed pieces you can have is 13. +4550
- Bando with constitution/stamina. Alternative – Tusken Backpack.
- Any armour with +health mod is nice, too. +~350
For Step Two, you will need
- 5 peice heroism set. Alternative – Colonel ring, + +25 cons/stam jewellery from the heroic instances. +1500
- Ent buff with 150 cons / 150 stamina. +1500
- A full group with a master pilot to take you to the ISD instance, resulting in the +250 cons buff. +2000
- Village buff crystal(s) from the Pre-NGE villiage. +2000
- Aurellian Crystal which gives you +150 stamina. +300
For Step Three, you will need
- A medic who can cons/stam (rank 3) buff you. +2500
- A mouse droid familiar (try and borrow one – thats what I did) +320
- Constitution Powerups of value 100 – 115+. Higher the BETTER obviously +2640
- Lulrus Mushroom pie food (try bazarr) Try to get this, but as an alternative, use Breath of Heaven. +1000
- Spice which adds both +stam and +cons +500
- grouped an officer, with tactics (mark 6) +560
- grouped with a player with favour of the elders +200
For Step Four, you will need
- The medic banner, or a medic friend who has one (granted at Stim E, or at captain rank). +800
- Colonel Inspiration buff (or, again, a friend who can use it near you). +960
- Offensive mustafar shard Or defensive shard, no difference. +960
- Strange sith holocron. +1500
- Lair crystal. +600
- Finally, the Rare Nova Crystal. Make sure this is the last thing you apply. It adds 10% to your current health. Without this, you might struggle to hit 40k health. You can still get pretty close, though, by using the shard of retaliation in its place. If you do not have this, use a shard of retaliation.
If you think you can access all of these (or most of them), then your on the right track. Read the method below, and check the buffs (colour coded to each step) for best results!
Note: You may think I have missed things, such as officer tactical serum, or the omega hormone. The reason for this is that they do not stack with better giving constitution buffs, and therefore are not needed.

First Step – Your armour/shirt/weapon has 13 socket spaces, all of which add +35 cons and +35 stam. I used tusken which was 50 less health, because I had no space in my inventory to not use a backpack, and honestly could not be bothered to empty it. My armour was health modded +50 on every piece apart from gloves and boots, which gave me an additional 350 health. At this Stage, I have 17,750 health.
Second Step – Long term buffs: Put on your 5 peice heroism (or alternative), get an Ent buff of 150 cons / 150 stamina, take a group of 8, with a master pilot piloting to get the ISD travel buff of +250 cons. Add your villiage buff crystals (1 has +250 cons, the other +500 action) and your aurellian crystal (largest size) from the new villiage, which gives +150 stam. At this Stage, I have around 25,050 health.
Third Step – Land in restuss SP (so you can show off
) apply medium your term buffs: Cons and Stam medic buffs, drop a mouse droid familiar, apply your powerups, food, and spice. Make sure favour of the elders is up too. In addition, you need an officer in the group for the ‘tactics’ group buff, here. At this Stage, I have around 32,770 health.
Fourth Step – Apply the short term ‘burst’ buffs; drop the medic banner, and then activate (or get a friend to activate) the colonel buff. Then put on offensive (or defensive) burst shard, followed by strange sith holocron. Then add your lair crystal. At this Stage, I have around 37,590 health.
When and only when ALL this is done, you add the rare nova crystal, or, if you don’t have it, shard of retaliation. Adding 10% to this value, I would hit 41,349. Adding a shard of retaliation instead, I would hit 39,190.
NOTE!: With GU5, you can now increase your health further. 250 health enhancement on weapon and shirt, + and extra 14 cons on each, would increase your health by a total of 724.
Good luck to all of you! Note – obviously you don’t need to be a medic to do this, but I am a medic, and this guide is for medics! And yes, I made a few mistakes the first time around, which is why my health is 40k not 41k in the picture!

Here’s a trick in Old Kingdom to get your group to the last boss, quickly.
You’ll have to clear 3 trash mobs on your way, and then the 3 elites before the last boss.
- Start here

- Kill the front guards and move up here

- You’ll want to head over to this spot, there will be two packs of mobs you’ll have to clear.

- Once you get there jump up this ledge and head round the corner, it’s best to slow walk as it is deceptively hard

- Once up, keep heading around

- Now jump to the circle, but hug the wall as you do so. You can turn on fast walking/running now.

- Head around this area and it will bring you to here

- Head along the ledge here, hugging the wall

- Move around the third Boss’s platform and jump onto the gate here

- Move along here and jump down

- Around the corner and your group is almost there

- Jump down and you’re on the last ledge, turn on slow walking again.

- Run across when the mobs part away, and you’re there

Enjoy

The LoTRO Auction House is a great way to make money and clear out some bag and vault space. Also the Auction House will help you to figure out what to farm to make money the faster and more efficient way. I have some guide lines I follow just to make it fair. These are not mandatory, but I believe this is a fair way of doing business, and then I will tell you the greedy way. You make your own choice about which one you would like to use.
Fair Way
I have been told the fairest price to post items is 4-5 times what the vendor would buy for. There for a item selling to vendor at 5 silver would sell at Auction for 20-25 sp not a bad profit. But my opinion is 7 times the vendor price. This is not too bad either, especially with the auction house prices these days. Most people sell at 10-20 times the vendor price. Also selling at these lower prices means your items will sell almost immediately.
Not too Bad
This way is my common advice, before selling your item’s search the inventory of the Auction to see what other people have posted the same item for. Now find the lowest price for the current number you have and subtract 5-10 silver from it and that’s what you post your item’s for. You’re just a little cheaper then the other guy so your item is almost always going to sell first, assuming a person hunting is not click happy and doesn’t check for lowest price.
Also if there is one item that is at least 40% lower then the rest of them, and the market is good (hides, gems, crafting items, etc.) go ahead and buy them out if the math comes out so you can drop the price 5sp below the other guys and end up making more in the end. These are great investments.
Greedy (I do not recommend)
Don’t be that guy out there that posts items for outrageous amounts (you’ll know whats outrageous). You won’t sell much, and someone will likely come along and undercut you. I know you hate it when you need something and check Auction house and everything is high priced. Think of how you feel when searching for items and find them all high priced, and then post your items.
Farming Tips and Tricks
I would recomend before going on a farming trip, to run by and check the Auction House. Search for common items like hides, gems, crafting items, etc., and see what they are going for. If you know for sure you can kill X mobs fast by yourself and prices are up, then go right ahead. It sure beats running off to farm stuff and make it to the Auction House only to realize the market is low today. Check each one and see what has the best price to time ratio. This will also save you that 30 minutes wondering what to farm.
Once you feel comfortable and get to know the Auction House, you can start buying and selling to make a profit. But don’t do it right away, as you might buy high and sell low, or worse, buy something which you think is low, and end up not being able to resell it.
The trick is to find some common items you find there everyday, such as hides, ore, shards, and flakes which all sell on a regular basis. Now watch these for a week or so and see the common prices. Once you see approximately what they go for and you see somone post one for a lot less, you can buy it out and resell it for a nice little profit. Even 100sp extra adds up quickly. Example below I run into the most.
Example:
Dwarf-Iron ore sells commonly for 800-900 silver pieces for a stack of 50.
Now every other day you see someone post it 700-800 for a stack of 100. This actually happens a lot. Buy it out and turn around and split stack into 2 stacks of 50 then repost for 600-650 silver pieces. Your price is way lower then competitors and usual prices. Now you’ve made about 400 silver profit without having to farm a thing.
Hides, ore, flakes, and shards all sell on a regular basis, stick with those items and you shouldn’t lose money.
One last tip. When you start to get a feel for the average prices, make sure to write them down. If you can check every day, GREAT! if not, try to check at least 2x a week. I have noticed that on weekends, prices are lower, and on weekdays, they are higher. Sometimes, you can buy on a weekend, wait a couple days to the weekdays, and then sell for a better profit.
Good luck!

This guide was written and created by the team over at Zygor’s guides. All credit and rights go to them for this guide.
Overview
Lots of guides show you how to make gold in the game, but they tell you things that really cut into your leveling time. This guide is intended to show you ways to make lots of gold WHILE leveling your characters. The information in this guide will help you on your way to buying your talents, gear, and mounts on your way to level 80 using Zygor’s Leveling guide. So without further adue, lets get started.
Getting your upstart
We will start off with the basics of how to collect a decent pile of coins in the earliest stages of World of Warcraft. If you already have another character who can send you money then you do not need to read this section, unless you’re just curious.
Auction House Alt
After you create your new character you should begin leveling straight away, right? Actually, the first thing you should do is create another character and run them all the way to the nearest major city. For Alliance, we recommend making a Dwarf/Gnome and running them to Ironforge. For Horde, make an Orc/Troll and run them to Orgrimmar. Make their name something short and easy to remember because whenever you need to sell things at the Auction House or send things to your main character you will use this character. You don’t want the name to be long to type of hard to remember when you send stuff to the alt via the mailbox.
Now that you have your alt character, start questing with you main. At the beginning you will get a lot of trash items and should basically sell these items to vendors to start generating money. We recommend the addon Sell-O-Matic which will place a single button on the vendor sell screen that automatically sells all gray items for you.
Eventually you will start getting Small Eggs, Stringy Wolf Meat, and Chunks of Boat Meat off mobs. Send these to your alt to sell on the Auction House. They pretty much always sell regardless of the servers economy.
Bigger Bags
One of the few things that it is ok to spend your money on is more inventory space (Bags). Most of the stuff you can make money on while leveling is collected while questing, so the bigger the bags the better the haul you can ship to your Auction House Alt.
Do Not Buy Gear!
One of the biggest money sinks in the game is actually a players own compulsive nature to spend, spend, spend at every oppurtunity, especially when it comes to gear. When using Zygor’s Guide you will level up so quickly that the gear you buy will become outdated very fast. The gear you get for rewards should suffice for the most part. Only buy gear if you start having a hard time killing mobs or surviving in fights. We recommend buying a new gear only every 10 levels or even longer if you can manage.
Do Not Buy Every Spell
A lot of players have the bad habit of going to their class trainers every two levels and buying every new talent that is available to them. Generally, this is not nessasary since only a handful of talents have real use while leveling.
Get Two Gathering Professions
The only professions worth considering until you reach 80 are the three gathering professions: Skinning, Herbalism, and Mining. We recommend taking at least Skinning because it skills up faster and you get more skins than you will herbs or minerals. Sell all your stacks on the Auction House.

A while ago, I found this game, called WoW Connect. Unfortunately, there is no save feature, so if you come back to it later, you will have to start from level 1 again. However, this is a fun strategy game. This is not so much of a WoW game, other then it uses WoW icons. If it had other icons it would be any other game. I liken it to a mah-jongg solitaire game then anything else. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.
The file is a SWF file, you should be able to save it to your desktop and then open with either Media Player Classic or Internet Explorer.
