Came across a site which shows each of the Tech Trees (build) for each of the different races. Thought each of you might find this a worthy post.

I don’t know about you but I hate playing against a good Terran player, the Zerg vs Terran matchup is a very difficult game to win. This guide will teach you the basics of beating a Terran player.
The reason Terran seems to rip us apart is because of their ability to tech up to units like the thor and medivac. There are only 2 ways that we can beat a good Terran player. The first is harassing with zerglings and banelings but this can be difficult to master. The second is the fast expand and starve strategy which we are going to discuss here. Continue reading »

DISCLAIMER. “No battle plan survives contact with the enemy”.
We all remember the classic Hydralisk from Brood War, the heavy Zerg assault unit that, paired with the Zergling, was the backbone of almost every Zerg battle field. Besides, they could morph into Lurkers, which were devastating against almost every ground forces. The upgrades available allowed them to snipe from behind Zergling lines or to traverse large sections of the map in a short time. They were cheap, hatched fast and hit hard almost every other unit in the game. The only back step could be a short amount of health.

The Terran in Starcraft 2 are the most defensive race in the game. Their ability to lift their buildings and move them to new places means that it is very common for Terran players to play a turtle strategy in which the Terran player harasses his opponent’s economy while expanding his own by building Command Centers in his base and then lifting them to expansions.
Terran’s units also tend to vibe with this strategy. One the one hand, the Terran can be difficult in direct combat due to having many moderately strong units. On the other hand, the Terran player has many units which are quick and difficult for other races to pin down.
This guide provides information about all of the Terran units in the game. If you’re a new player trying to figure out what your Terran units are good for, this Terran unit guide is the perfect place to start.

The Roach, a new Zerg ground unit, is an excellent front-line soldier and a powerful component of many Zerg strategies. Cheap with high HP and good damage, the Roach is powerful against many tier one units like Marines, Zealots and Zerglings, and strong against armor. Continue reading »

- Numerous updates have been made to the Leagues & Ladders system:

Guide written by Jame of StarCraft Replay
In Starcraft 2, there is a “best counter” for every unit. This is in my opinion even more true for Protoss. Unit choices are even more crucial for them, for one simple reason: every protoss unit is relatively expensive, so you better produce the right units at the right time
This is also why I love protoss, it’s my favorite race.
In this guide I will give detailed information for Protoss players to counter every Starcraft 2 Zerg units.
Please keep in mind that this is a general terran unit strategy guide, it is based on pure unit statistics. So you must adapt depending on the situation in-game. For example, if I say that Phoenixes are the best unit counter against Mutalisks, don’t go for them if you haven’t even started building a Stargate as your opponent shows up with 6 mutalisks, you won’t have time for that, produce stalkers, sentries and/or photon cannons instead and then build a stargate if you manage to hold off the first mutalisk batch.
My point is, adapt this information to your game depending on the situation, you can’t always produce the best unit counter in time, so sometimes you’ll have to go for 2nd, 3rd or 4th best.
With that said, let’s get started with this guide! Continue reading »

Do you remember how ridiculous things could get in Starcraft 1 when Protoss Dark Archons mind controlled the enemy races’ probes/SCV’s.
Well the Zerg can do something similar in Starcraft 2 using the Zerg Infestor’s ability “Neural Parasite”.
Now you too can decimate your opponents with an army of Battlecruisers and Carriers!!
Take a look at the video for a better explanation.

So labeling this an exploit may be a bit harsh. It’s not a “cheat” or against the Starcraft 2 TOS. It is incredibly annoying, however, so feel free to use it if you don’t mind upsetting your opponent and getting called names.
Regardless of whether you spawn in North position or South position on Desert Oasis, there is a ledge separated by a small abyss from your opponent’s vespene gas. You can put a siege tank there and use a flying unit or scan for vision of the vespene gas, and destroy your opponent’s refinery/assimilator/extrator. Just knowing that you can use a siege tank here is not enough. You must position the rest of your forces properly and be mindful of your timing according to the race you’re playing against. The locations of these ledges are shown below. Continue reading »

This is a relatively simple Zerg technique, seemingly obvious yet very few use it, and easy to implement in the game. You know how you spend Drones on buildings rather than drones building them? You can use that to your advantage in very early game as a Zerg player.
You start out with 6 drones and 10 supply (to be replenished with Overlords). On your 9th or 10th Drone, you get either your Spawning Pool (called “9 Pool”, “10 Pool”, early Pool) or get an Overlord. Getting more Drones is not an option till you get your second Overlord, and you certainly cannot have 11 Drones immediately before getting that second Overlord spawned. OR CAN YOU?

StarCrack AI has been in development since the first AI hack was on the scene. Initially, it was a pretty hacked up version of the Blizzard “very easy” AI that would actually do more than build two marines that glare at you. Since then it has evolved into one of the leading AIs for StarCraft 2.
Latest Version 6.1.1
Editions:
StarCrack AI 6.1.1 Standard Edition
– AI doesn’t cheat
StarCrack AI 6.1.1 AI Cheating Edition
